I just had my prescriptions refilled at Walgreens today. Much to my surprise this store is closing. WHY? We make it a point to drive further with a Walgreens closer to patronize this store. Daniel the Pharmacist has been wonderful as well as his staff. Feel that corporate only sees money and not the relationships that the staff brings to the table. I wish the store staff best wishes and good health.
But why can't this place be open on weekends! Closing a pharmacy on a weekend is like a school being closed during the week. Our scheduled appointment for flu and covid shots were cancelled by text Friday by CVS. I attempted to call CVS numerous times but from experience know they seldom answer the phone. Neighbors appointment also canceled same way and so they went to this location to pharmacy and recommended. I quickly got registered and got a shot by an expert pharmacist. I told him that he was the best for any shots I have had my entire life. Location is a ways a way for me, but I found the drive, obviously worth it. Thank you sir for your expert shots! A +
02 04 2024 Sunday re: Walgreens located at 4305 E Platte Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80915 - Met cashiers Ashton and Grace ... Grace walked the store with me and showed me where everything was that I needed to get. Both Ashton and Grace were very cordial, patient and pleasant with me. (Grace likes country ham ... I must remember to bring her some one of these Sundays!) This was a clean store and well-stocked: I was able to pick up my whole list without having to go elsewhere, a definite plus.
I called 3 other Walgreens after my usual Walgreens pharmacy couldn't fill my script, finally this location had it in stock. I spoke to a pharmacy tech, explained what was going on, she said it would be ready in 15. So, I ordered my uber and rushed over there only to find the pharmacy completely closed. This was a Fri evening, so I went all weekend without my heart meds. I'm still not sure how "black ice" caused them to close 30 mins early, but yeah, ok.
On par for the Walgreens chain. Nothing particularly bad or good about this location. I guess there's a plus if you like taco trucks, as there is one regularly there when we happen to stop by this Walgreens location
