We stopped here for lunch on our way to Calamus Reservoir. Friendly staff. Food was pretty good. My husband got a burger with chips and I got breakfast burrito with tater tots. Basic but done well! They only accept cash so make sure to take some cash out from an ATM machine nearby before heading in.
Stopped here at random while on a 15 hour road trip - could not have asked for better. Awesome no frills, small town spot with generous breakfasts for amazing prices. Service was exceptional as well.
Great small town Cafe with friendly people and wonderful food. Sunday special of pan fried chicken, corn, mashed potatoes & gravy, roll, dessert & iced tea for less than $10. Pretty sure nothing came out of a box, all home made.
Vera's cafe is a small cafe on the West side of the historic square in Burwell NE. It serves good old home cooking with daily specials that are reasonably priced. They have good service too. I ordered their Taco salad on my visit. I was well prepared and thr Ingredients were fresh and very tasty. I enjoyed my visit and think that you would too. They are open for breakfast and lunch, but not for the evening meal.
Verda's is a Burwell must!! Beautifully cooked to order classics, extremely reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Cash only, so go prepared for that. This is a small town local cafe, simple, unpretentious, and delicious. Don't miss it!
