Varsity Theater has been a staple of the Ashland community for nearly a century. The interior has been more or less maintained in its beautiful Art Deco style. The theater has five screens, three in the front and two in the rear of the building. The staff keep the place running like a Swiss watch and they always show amazing movies. With only five screens, the selection is usually small, but they have both the latest hit movies and great independent films. A visit to Varsity is an Ashland must.

Pretty great experience overall, it's a nice tiny theater. My complaints though are that the seats were uncomfortable, the other movies could be heard from our theater, and they were very short staffed. Despite all of that, it was still a nice experience. The employees that were there were very kind and wonderful, and the community at the theater was very warm and fun, and although the movie nextdoor's audio sometimes overtook our own movie, it was still a fun time

The staff are friendly and the movie selection is decent. The seats are very comfortable. Concessions, stand prices are a little high. Other than that great place to see a movie

I enjoy Varsity theatre. I love the vibe of what once was in terms of movie going. It's a comfy place to go see a movie if you are ok with basic offerings. Nothing fancy but a lovely movie theatre.

Nice movie theater in the center of Ashland. Had all the current movies at good prices. Seats are pretty comfortable, staff is very nice. In our theater (1) the light fixture is in the path of the projector which puts a shadow into the top of the film. Hope the management will fix this as it's a bit distracting.
