We have used Val many times & have not had any problems with him or his timing or driving. Maybe others have found issues with him or perhaps his being from another country was problematic in terms of language but we have never had any problems understanding him nor he with us.
Guy waited until we got to the destination to pull the "our card reader isn't working" scam. I said fine I'll pay cash, then he says he doesn't have change. Better off with Pop's Taxi that's who I will be using from now on.
driver was rude, aggressive, disrespectful and made me feel uncomfortable / unsafe. used to be a solid good option on the island but perhaps management or employee screening has changed.
Cab driver almost hit me and my 3 y/o by jettie's beach while we were walking in the parking lot, then had the gal to yell at us for his dangerous driving. Deserves to be shut down.
The taxi part of Val’s service was not great, my friend and I split the taxi cost. The driver told us it was not a problem to come pick us back up from the beach where he dropped us off. I paid the first round and since he was picking us back up we were going to give him a nice tip once he picked up. Unfortunately he decided when we called him back since we didn’t tip at first he was no longer available. Very poor service. One he missed out on his tip we were going to give and two the audacity of him turning away business from his company because he felt like paying customers were not worth it. He didn’t know what our plan was to tip. We took an Uber into town and he ( Val’s taxi driver) was just sitting there with no one in his car. Not making money. We will never use this service again. Val was awesome on her tour guide, highly recommend her. But not the taxi service. They will leave you stranded.
