I'd give it less cause their customer service sucks. My friend was on hold over 30 mins so I called a on my phone and they tried to put me on hold do I called repeatedly.

I reserved a truck at least two months ago and they called me two days before picking up my rental that they didn't have any trucks available and I would have to go to Marshalltown, the next closest facility with a truck, to get one. I am moving across the country, a 16 hour drive, and now I have to unexpectedly add another two hours on to drive to Marshalltown and back the morning of my move. An earlier heads up would have been nice so I could have better options, not notifying me with about 36 hours left until pickup.

Went in to rent a truck or a van for two days. First they told that the trucks were booked for the days in question and I understood that, however then they said they had Vans available. So I went around back to take a look and told them I'd take it, however they then told that they didn't have any available. The staff really needs to get it together. They told me one thing and than told me another in less than five minutes. Felt like I was lied to.

The storage unit I rented still had items in it and had not been cleaned. When I called to complain, the manager suggested it was my fault for not just picking a different unit. There were several other units around that had tags identifying them as ones to be cleaned that were months old. I have yet to hear back from the regional office, despite several efforts to contact. I will not be using U-Haul again.

Mike, the GM here, was so respectful and kind to me on one of the worst days of life - and I'm pretty old! - and I will always be grateful for his help both when I rented storage space and when I finished using the space. He is the best!
