Let me start off by saying I have rented from u-haul hundreds of times throughout my life and have never had problems. This is the worst experience I ever had. The whole rental process with this place was slower than pond water and I had things to do. Took nearly 40 minutes and no one else was in the office! The lady doing the rental tried to argue with me and let me know that my Rubicon wasn’t big enough to pull the small trailer. Her attitude was beyond horrible. Took her 20 minutes to confirm that it was indeed large enough. Why not just pull up my past rental history? Then she needed to read the tag on my hitch receiver….ugh. Did I mention that I did the online reservations with all my vehicle information included so my rental would be ready?! Honestly, they need to have someone here that knows what they are doing. If you rent a U-Haul or trailer from Alamagordo rent anywhere but here. I would give them a negative 10 if I could!

Woman who answered gave me info on what she DIDN'T have vs. what she DID have (after I asked what was available), wasn't listening to my questions at all/spoke over me. "HAVE NO RESERVATIONS FOR 10' BECAUSE I HAVE NO 10' TRUCKS' *when you own a business, especially one that people frequently call for same day needs, you had better Listen to your customer and have info handy on what you Can offer them SAME DAY*

Sharon was amazing such a sweetheart. We are in a pickle, but she got my nerves down and helped me with what need done with extending the U-haul. She made my day. But U-haul company sent me 3emails with all the wrong drop-off info. Luckly Sharon text me and called this morning and told it was a different drop-off.

The lady who works here (and I'm pretty sure owns the place) is super nice, helpful, and accommodating. I picked up a trailer for in town use in the morning on a saturday, and since she usually closes at noon I thought I was going to have to keep it for an extra day, but she just told me to give her a call when I could drop it off in the afternoon as she'd be there intermittently. Overall I wish there were more people like her in the service industries because I think it would make everyone so much happier. Side note if you read this far: the 55mph speed limit is not just for show on those trailers. When you have something heavy on there, it will start swaying back and forth near 55. Be safe!

Accepted my money and held it for 24 days for a reservation they were in unable to fulfill, leaving me stranded two days before I had to move out. "Guarantee to call" more like guarantee to screw you over. If they had called the day after the reservation was made according to this "policy" that would have been fine. WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN.
