Twisted Root Burger Co.
What people are saying
This airport location is pretty close to their other locations. We ordered: 1. Spicy goat - Overall, a tasty combination of ingredients. The burger overall was pretty good and is a thicker style than the current smash burger trend. My only comment is to have a little more spice. (4/5 🌟) 2. Fries - prepared and seasoned well. (4/5 🌟) They provided an enjoyable airport food experience. Would return and recommend.
I had the classic, which is a 7 oz beef burger, and it was fresh and quite good. Casual atmosphere, but a bit pricey. However, I am at an airport, so that's to be expected.
Your typical boring mediocre burger joint. This one adds insult to injury for being expensive and making it nearly impossible to navigate its credit card device to avoid being charged a tip —for counter service!
Twisted root burger This place would not have been my first choice for breakfast in the airport but I gave it a try because the line was SUPER SHORT and the pics on the menus looked decent. The wait staff taking orders, collecting payments, & handing customers their orders were spectacular! One lady had my order being cooked and entire 2-3 minutes before I even paid for it. My meal was prepared quickly… before I could even choose a table to sit at. Once back to my table, I began to eat my egg sandwich. It was prepared exactly how I asked for it to be prepared, but the bun was a bit greasy. The tater tots were saturated with oil and were NOT very appetizing! They made their way to the trash receptacle! That meal was definitely a waste of $20! The Marium and her co-worker most definitely made this visit acceptable…. If it hadn’t been for their great attitudes so early in the morning… this review would’ve gone sideways in a hurry! Just goes to show what good customer service does for people’s attitudes. Not sure I’ll visit again… but if I do… I’m willing to give twisted root another try!
Layover at DFW and I was hungry. Stopped into Twisted Root and grabbed a Spicy Goat and rings to-go, this to the tune of about $24. Burger had some decent chew and flavor, though I could have used a bit more chipotle sauce IMO. Rings were cooked well.
