Mr Tonkin and his staff are very helpful and knowledgeable regarding antiques. They specialize in British pieces but have collected things from other parts of the globe as well. His collection is extensive and he has some very unique pieces. On our recent trip to the Island we had a wonderful experience visiting the showroom and purchasing a couple of things that were beautiful and one of a kind.
A visit to Tonkin of Nantucket is more than just a chance to see a few antiques. The store has over 10,000 square feet of remarkably varied English and French pieces. This impressive collection must be seen to be fully appreciated. Staff is very knowledgeable and always handling each and every purchase transaction with the utmost care and attention to detail.
My wife and I were very impressed with the inventory. Not only antiques but reproductions and all very beautiful. Marshall was very friendly and helpful and offered information about the inventory. A must see when on Nantucket. We will return.
