Overall, my experience at thrifty at Washington Dallas International Airport was fair. A car rental shuttle will take you from the airport to the car rental office, which is a short 10 minute ride. The shuttle runs 24/7 and the wait should not be very long. Once I arrived at the location where hertz, dollar, and thrifty share an office the staff was very friendly had me checked in and to my vehicle in less than 10 minutes. I booked an economy vehicle and paid for it yet in advance but upon arrival, they stated that it was not available, and I was given a mid size vehicle. I was not too happy about this as I expect to have what I paid for but I had to compromise. Aside from that everything was fine.

Pretty straightforward rental place near IAD. The staff are pretty efficient. There is covered parking to load or unload your car. Their hours are very accommodating. The shuttle service is predicable.

I rented a car from Thrifty Dulles for a week while visiting the DC area. Thrifty offered the best price in the area and didn’t push extras like insurance and internet radio. Filling up with gas before returning the vehicle was easy because the return is right next to a Conoco gas station. We returned the car in good condition and got our deposit back. My only complaint is that we called ahead and asked if they had child care seats for rental as well. They said yes, but did not mention how much they would cost. For one week, a child car seat rental costs $100. You might as well just go buy a car seat.

The vehicle I was given had a ton of scratches and dings on the outside, the dashboard was damaged and the rear view mirror was peeling. I told the desk staff and they informed me they didn't have any other vehicles unless I wanted to pay more for an upgrade. After leaving the Vehicle had trouble starting, had no windshield wiper fluid, and when I turned the heat on little plastic pieces came flying out of the vents. I informed the staff when I returned the car and they could care less. If I wasn't pressed for time during pick up I would have found another rental agency. Never again will I rent from Thrify. Buyer beware

Super easy rental. No queue to either pickup or drop off. Desk agent was very friendly and helpful. Car was brand new. No issues at all and no extra charges. Shuttle to Dulles took 10 mins and pulled up right after we dropped off the car for a quick and easy connection.
