We made a reservation to rent a gas car for 10am on Saturday. When we arrived there was already a long queue of people waiting, and nobody was being served. After 1h of waiting in line, we were told only electric cars were available (for which we still needed to wait in line for another hour). If we wanted a gas car, they did not have any for many hours to come. We received no explanation or apology from any member of the staff for the appalling service. Avoid this place at all cost. We will never rent from Thrifty again.

Eric (still in training) assisted by the supervisor (unfortunately, we didn't catch their name) helped us with the booking, and everything went smoothly and well. Thrifty is the third vendor we've used to rent a car during our stay in the US, and we got a Malibu in clean condition, with a smooth engine, a full tank of gas, a neat front body, and at a very affordable price. When renting a car, you will always be offered insurance. Don't be surprised; you can choose the one that suits you best! We opted for $16 for third-party protection. The pick-up and drop-off location was conveniently in front of the Hilton hotel. The process of returning the car was extremely quick. The technician team immediately checked the car for gas and return mileage, making us feel comfortable and free from the fear of overcharge later on. We will definitely rent again next time! Absolutely garbage customer service. We dropped our car at 1:30 pm for a 2pm return, the garage attendant wrote that return time on a form and told us to bring it up to the front desk to process the return. After waiting 45 minutes in line while the single staff person handled the same ONE customer, they finally said we could leave the form with them and they would input it later. We then received a $90 charge for a FOUR HOUR LATE RETURN, clearly demonstrating that they put it in at the end of the business day and couldn’t be bothered to change the return time. I have disputed the credit card charge and is it is IMPOSSIBLE to get through to a thrifty employee by phone (the automated system automatically hangs up on you after you’ve exhausted all their options). Absolutely atrocious.

Thrifty Car Rental is the worst rental car experience I've had so far. We waited 5 hours on a Saturday to pick up our rental car, which is an hour and a half longer than they said we'd have to wait. I've never had to wait that long for a rental car pickup, ever. On top of that, we picked up our car one day late and dropped it off a day early. We respectfully asked for a refund for those days but neither Thrifty nor Priceline were willing to honor that request. The car worked fine but the customer service was awful. Thrifty has lost us as customers for life. I'll gladly pay twice as much for an experience much better than this.

Booked a car for 10am, finally got one at 2pm. From the comments I can see that they often or always overbook. Additionally, the processing is unbelievably slow. I'd be more ok with this if at least they can quickly tell me "we don't have it, you're on the list, try again in 2 hours" and I can go walk around, but it almost seems like they're trying to make time for more cars to be returned, taking ~15 mins with each customer.
