I must say that I had a really great experience booking with Thrifty. Reservations were easy and when we got to the airport to make the payments and pick-up the car, we were given really great service at the desk. No hiccups, no delays, everything was smooth sailing. To put the cherry on the cake, we were even given a nice upgrade to a more spacious car with really low mileage. So you can imagine we were pleased to start the journey on such a positive note. What was also helpful was getting these small booklets to give all the details regarding the toll bridges and where we could pay, etc. Super informative. Thank you for the great help!
Friendly service, and very efficient. Our electric car wasn’t ready, so they gave us a significant upgrade. Pick up was 15 min, and I felt I was counselled well. Drop off was immediate and under 5 minutes, drive up, have the attended check and scan the car in, and we were all done! Super convenient to get to the terminal with the airport rail system. Impressed for sure!
Terrible car rental company rented several times in the San Francisco area. Wasn’t not satisfied the two times decided to start renting somewhere else never had a problem of miscellaneous fees after. First time vehicle stopped on me on a mountain incline then I was charged for smoke when no smoking was done in the vehicle. I sent pictures as proof of clean return and they insisted I was smoking. Luckily it was a business expense otherwise I would’ve been even more pissed. NEVER RENT FROM THEM. Go to Turo or another company
Most amazing staff ever! My wife accidentally lost her wallet with her green card in the car, and we discovered that just before crossing security. After doubling back to the rental return, multiple staff bent over backwards to search for her wallet, find it, and call me with the good news. After running through the airport, we just now boarded our plane to Europe just in the nick of time. We are so thankful for the kindness and extra effort of the Thrifty staff. Thank you 🙏
The customer service and pickup-drop off itself went smoothly. I purchased my rental through Priceline and was not able to adjust or change my reservation despite only needing the car 3 of my originally reserved 5 days due to new info about my trip. Furthermore, in explaining my situation to the front desk, I was encouraged to buy insurance (I was already insured but unaware that my personal insurance covered rentals). This ended up costing more than the rental itself (insurance was $400, rental was $350 ish). In all I probably spent $500 more than the value I got out of my reservation. Great for their company, partially my fault for not being more organized or aware going into the transaction. Sucked for me and did not make me feel like the company cared that they were giving me the best service.
