After waiting for nearly an hour to pick up a vehicle on Sunday, I thought my rental experience was pretty good. I returned the vehicle only to be flagged down by an employee who mentioned damage to the car. I ALWAYS film my rental cars before I move them from their parking spot. I showed it to him, he agreed that the damage was there in my video, apologized and sent me on my way. This car had noticeable scratches on the exterior and signs of wear on the interior. But there wasn’t a mechanism to report those things like with other rental agencies I’ve booked with in the past. I assumed it would be fine. I was wrong. I got an email today stating I needed to file a claim. Needless to say, I don’t recommend this company. Attaching a short clip of the video. Edit: I’ve since been contacted by the company and they are no longer pursuing this with me. So, I have increased my review to 3 (I still had to wait an hour for my car and deal with the trouble of my return).

I was very nervous pre-booking a car here through Auto Europe due to the many negative reviews of other customers. In my case however, things went smoothly: Arrived in the afternoon, no long lines at the time, very friendly, patient, and kind staff. I simply said I already booked all insurances and did not need anything extra and it was fine, nobody tried to convince me of something. Check in took 5 minutes. Found the car in the parking lot immediately and it was a fairly new Nissan, just a few little outside scratches I took pictures of. Inside was super clean and new. No issues returning the car, too, returned it full and that got marked by staff upon arrival.

Based on previous reviews, its evident why their 1-star reviews out number their 5-star reviews. I needed to modify my upcoming reservation and return the rental a day earlier (from 4 days to 3 days needed). Instead of refunding the fees for one day, they said I would OWE more to return the rental earlier because they would charge me at a higher rate for the 3 days. In addition to this scam, in order to make any sort or modification you need to wait on hold for over an hour when they provide you with an estimated wait time of 10 mins. Needless to say I canceled my reservation and booked else where at a better rate for the days needed. Thankfully my credit card company handled the transaction and wait times. Please save your time and money.

Worst Car Rental Experience I have ever had. The car I reserved wasn't available when I got there so I had to pay to upgrade. Immediately when we left the airport the front left tire was at 10 PSI. I pulled off to the nearest gas station and by the time I got there the tire was flat. I decided to put the spare on instead of waiting for roadside assistance (which would have been another hour and a half). Once we got back to the airport, we had to wait another hour and a half in a ridiculously long line to swap our car. No other rental company had a line. They said since we already paid for the upgrade, we were not able to be reimbursed. I ended up having to pay more money just to mess around for nearly 5 hours. An entire day out of our three day vacation was wasted. I would avoid this company if you can.

I have spent hours on hold trying to get my pickup and drop-off times adjusted because the site failed to save the correct time. Now I am informed that they won't make the change, aren't sure if I have a reservation at all, and if I show up late they will simply take my money and feel no obligation to provide me with a vehicle at all. Absolutely the very worst experience I have ever had trying to reserve ANYTHING from any company. Don't use them unless you like risk and rudeness. I still have no idea whether I will have a car when I arrive tomorrow, or whether they will steal my money and refuse to provide me with a car.
