Thriftwood
What people are saying
Charming souvenir, thrift shop... you just need to stop here. It's unique and cool.
True gem of a thrift store. I had many great finds on weekend visits to Girdwood. Alaska Grown hoodies, Salt n Pepa CDs, and lots of other little goodies. A proper, old-school thrift store and I hope it never changes.
I was communicating with someone through their Facebook page and I literally told them I was on my way from anchorage to buy a bike trailer they posted on Facebook. By the time I got there they sold it. Not only did I take off 3 hours early from work, I wasted gas money, and they showed no empathy of how I was feeling. This is the first time I’ve been to this business, and it’s the last because they are not reliable.
Owner did not even show up or speak during the half hour we were there. Luckily we didnt find anything to buy. The prices were quite high. If the prices were low there was a problem with them etc. A suitcase for 10 dollars with a broken wheel
I live in the lower 48, and both of my sons live in Girdwood. I've been in your store and it is what you state - about anything you could need. Both times I've been up there, I've bought things to take back home.
