Thomas Jefferson Rollins Nature Area
What people are saying
It's a very pretty park. Very well maintained and lots of lakes with fish and there's signs telling you what fish are in each lake.
Very pretty and calming. We went on an incredibly windy day in late March and no one else was there. Nice spot for some solitude or a picnic.
I love to drive my mom to look at the water here. Nice parking and a picnic table. Mom can look across the water and tell me what is on the other side, Langley one way and Ocean view the other. I appreciate this lovely spot so much! 💦💜
Best place for beautiful October sunsets
It's located at the end of the road. The parking lot is just an enlarged section of the road and there aren't any lines indicating parking spaces. There's a small and shallow boat launch/ramp (I've seen only kayaks, canoes, small catamarans, sailing dingies and jon boats launched here), a few benches, and a few picnic tables. It's a small, peaceful and quiet place to hang out or have a picnic. There isn't any playground for children. I wish there was a historical plaque or a story board indicating the significance of Thomas Jefferson Rollins. Including the parking lot, the park is 1-2 acres. There's an interesting newspaper article from 1994 indicating the history and the city's plans for the site. The article is available via Google search.
