As I was making my way out the St. Augustine History Museum, I came across a Tea and Spices shop, and my surprise is that it is owned by a lady who is from my local area in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania She had many spices and teas. She gave me insight into the shop and the city of St. Augustine and we even reminisced about PA and confusion about people assumptions of the Lancaster. I made my purchase and made my way outside of the shop to find a walkway that should use the path to the old jail. It was something that made me realize there is a lot to see in the oldest city in the United States.
I’m not even a tea drinker and this place was impressive. The ladies were super nice and helpful in helping us pick out some things for our moms. I’m sure my mom as well as my fiancée’s mom will love what we got them. Excellent selection and variety. I wish there was a coffee store on this level and I’d be set!
We were there 2 weeks ago and I bought the Nashville Hot Chicken spices with an attached recipe. It was amazing tonight! My family said my sandwich is their fav now! lol We had a very pleasant time shopping in this store on vacation! We highly recommend them! Great staff!! 💗🦋💗
Love the Spice and Tea Exchange of St Augustine, FL.! The owner of this establishment Colleen Messner strives to ensure she has a tea or spice for every need a customer may have. I am impressed with the number of different teas available that have a healing purpose. I must have 8 to 10 different teas on hand for whatever my need may be! The staff is very professional, caring, and helpful! Thank you for providing wonderful products for our Community!
As we arrived for day one of family fun summer vacation, we stopped at a pretty “touristy” spot with tram tours, a giant discounted ticket hut, the works of an out-of-state tourist goldmine. On the other hand, us natives to Florida stop there for a few things. The coupon booklet for almost everything in town, some nice pictures, and as a lover of spices and seasonings to add that extra zest to the fan’s food one must stop at the Spice & Tea Exchange in St. Augustine! The staff there are absolutely superb, very friendly, and don’t hover over you as you browse. You’re welcome to open and smell the sample containers. They have everything from traditional seasonings with a twist to international rubs such as tandoori and Korean bbq. Additionally, they have a great selection of teas. Ranging from all levels of caffeine. We purchased the chocolate chai tea for a different twist on a family favorite. My daughter is obsessed with salmon, we could not leave without a new seafood rub. We chose the salmon tea rub. I could have purchased the entire store if the Mrs. didn’t stop me. Next time, we must try the tandoori, Korean bbq, and various chai teas. You can also select a free recipe card when you purchase.
