The Gramercy was my first home upon moving to the US from another country in October 2023, and it has remained my residence ever since. Initially, I settled into a furnished apartment managed by BlueGround within The Gramercy. Its location is superb, situated close to essential amenities such as the Pentagon City Metro Station, Costco, Whole Foods, Pentagon City malls, and two parks—The Metropolitan Park and Virginia Highlands Park, among others. This convenient proximity made my transition as a newcomer quite seamless. I decided to continue living in the same apartment building by entering into a long-term lease. My experience as a resident of The Gramercy over the past five months has been delightful. The 2b2b apartment I rent is spacious with a sizable balcony. I particularly appreciate the abundant natural light pouring in through the large windows, along with the easy-to-clean wooden flooring. While the indoor facilities and appliances aren't brand new, they are well-maintained and fully functional. Whenever there were any issues, the maintenance team promptly addressed them with effective communication. The amenities within the building are impressive. I particularly like the movie theatre, and the recently renovated public area on the first floor exudes a cozy yet stylish ambiance—a perfect spot to socialize with friends or enjoy a complimentary coffee. The property management consistently organizes events and activities, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere. Moreover, the residents are friendly, and the concierge staff, especially Danielle, are exceptionally accommodating and helpful. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend The Gramercy to anyone in search of an exceptional place to call home.

I have lived in this apartment for two years. Ms. Daniel at the front desk is a very nice person. She helped me a lot. I miss the good time in this apartment.

This is my families’ first time to do apartment tour in DC, and it was our pleasure to met intern, Grace, at Dweck Property. She did an excellent job during the tour and provided us with very professional advice on different floor plans. Moreover, she also help us be familiar with surrounded areas, such as shopping mall, restaurants, public transportation, parking and so on; information is super helpful for us to visualize how life looks like in DC. Company is very lucky to have her on team!

I have lived here for 12 years and the staff are like family. They are very responsive and knowledgeable. They recently replaced the carpeting and painted without me having to move. They moved my belongings with care and replaced them carefully. You couldn’t tell they were here other than the updated carpet and fresh paint. I’ve planned to move several times but can’t find the warmth anywhere else. Very caring staff!

Strangers In My Room!!! This morning, while I was lying in bed, a stranger abruptly showed up in my bedroom! Due to the extremely loud noise made by the venting system of this building, I didn’t hear him unlocking my apartment door. So when this strange man suddenly showed up in my bedroom, I was absolutely TERRIFIED!!! As a woman living alone, this is the worst thing one could ever imagine! I later discovered that the stranger was a repairman accompanied by a property manager. When I angrily confronted the property manager about this unauthorized entry, he claimed that they had sent an email beforehand. I did not receive any email!! The property manager did not seem to understand the gravity of the situation and showed no concern for how scared I was. He kept insisting that an email had been sent, which I did not receive. This is the SECOND time someone from the building entered my apartment without approval and notice. When I found out the first unauthorized entry, I’ve already made it very clear to the leasing office and the property manager that I do not want anyone entering my apartment without my express approval and presence. Despite this, it happened again. And what’s worse, this time, it happened while I was in bed! It’s SO SCARY!!!! The property manager Carlos didn’t apologize for this terrifying incident the entire time during our conversation. He kept saying I should check my email. (I didn’t receive any email because the system notification from this building was not turned on in my account. And they didn’t take any extra step to contact me). The solution proposed by the property manager was to add a note to my profile that I prefer a call before any entry, which is something they Should Have Already Done after my complaint of the first unapproved entry. The lack of respect for tenants' privacy and the failure to properly communicate and address issues is unacceptable. I feel UNSAFE living here because the poor management of this building makes it likely that random strangers would unlock my apartment anytime. I’m considering installing a security camera in my apartment now. Besides unauthorized entries, tenants in this building also need to bear with the extremely LOUD and CONTINUOUS NOISES made by the venting system in this building. The noise lasts all night and most time of the day. I have to put on earplugs every night to go to sleep, and all day when I work from home. I also didn’t have a very pleasant experience with the leasing office when I applied for this apartment. They asked me to notarize all my documents and get “certified” translation for materials in foreign language. (FYI, it takes a lot of money to get certified translation and even government agencies don’t require it for official filing in many cases.) All my information could be easily verified by simply making a quick call to my HR, while the leasing office intentionally gave me a very hard time by requesting notarization and certified translation. Later, when I've already spent a lot of money and effort preparing these documents, they called me and said they don’t need them anymore because they finally took a minute to call the HR and verify everything. For all the above, I think this building needs a better management team. I don't think they are professional and responsible enough to provide the tenants with a safe and comfortable living environment.
