We had an excellent dinner with some friends. The staff was very friendly and the food was good. They have a relatively small pub fare & comfort food menu, but everyone in our party enjoyed their meal, and the buffalo tenders we split were good as well (vinegar-heavy house made sauce, not just a run-of-the-mill "Frank's Red Hot and butter" recipe). The beer tap selection was excellent, and very local... I think there were 3 or 4 NH-based breweries represented. Overall, I would recommend!
Reservation experience was fantastic, inn keeper is super nice and offers great service. Breakfast was very good and the inn itself is very quaint. Our room was on the top floor and was very clean and taken care of. The furnishings were beautiful and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and spotless. Also the common spaces were nice to hang out in and relax and read a book. We really had a relaxing stay.
The inn was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were bright and clean, the restaurant area was a great place to relax after a wonderful wedding. The innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating. And breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day. I can't recommend the Fitzwilliam Inn enough!
The Inn has been purchased by a couple who have renovated and improved it hugely for the better. Great food, yet not pretentious. Great beers, not elegant. Lovely guestrooms, designed for the historic nature of the inn as well as guest comfort. Chelley & Dave have made a welcoming establishment in a historic town. Not to be missed! We'll return any time we can.
Came here for dinner this past Friday evening. The place is wonderful, warm and cozy, friendly staff and great food. (Especially the chowder) The prices are very reasonable. Next time we want to sit in the Pizza Room next to the wood fired pizza oven. I highly recommend it, 5 stars!!
