The room had multiple problems, I did tell the clerks (they were nice). I would not have complained to corporate but I felt I was overcharged approx $10 and when contacting the manager he was extremely rude (would talk over you and when you matched his energy and got loud he would hang up). As soon as I called and started discussing the charge to my card, he became accusatory without facts from his clerk. I hope corporate will require him to take courses on being respectful. I have stayed at this property before and didn't have as many problems but more importantly I never had to deal with him before. I can't believe one of the previous reviews stated he was very nice. I wonder who he paid to make that review. On other sites, and yes, I am posting my review several places others complain about him as well.
My mom and I came into Alice for a funeral. We had 3 or 4 options. The first two didn't have rooms available. We came to this location and we were very pleased because they had a room. The gentleman that handled our room booking was very and accommodating. All the staff was great. Room was clean and safe location
The manager Danny and his family are kind , generous people of the highest honor. My mother was staying at there hotel and she had a medical emergency. They called 911 and Stayed with her until the paramedic arrived. She was transported to a hospital in Corpus Christi and all of her belongings were left in her room. Danny drove 45 miles to the hospital in Corpus Christi just to deliver my mothers belongings. The rooms are modern and up to date with the latest amenities. They are super clean and well kept. The outside is very nice with mosaic tile walkways and a very nice pool with a pergola. Breakfast is excellent with everything you need on the menu including fruit , Cereal,juice ,coffee , waffles,eggs,and sausage. It was DELICIOUS! Just a top notch hotel run by people who care.
Showed up to rent a room for my mother in law who resides in Alice , I live in Victoria Texas 2 hours away . I was going to purchase a 2 night stay , but had some questions about a hold being placed on my card because I don’t live near here. The guy at the service counter told me he no longer wanted to rent a room to us because I was asking to many questions . This place would be honored to have my money , I’m glad he denied us , if you’re looking for a cheaper hotel with EXCEPCIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS come on down to the OYO hotel you can book online and pay in person for half the price and more stay, the lady named Annabelle here at oyo was more than willing to help us and making accommodations where needed . THIS HOTEL IS NOT A SURE STAY, it should be called a sure disappointment . I didn’t catch a name but the little Indian guy will turn his nose up at you, and treat you badly if you don’t fit his criteria. . all that’s wrapped in glitter isn’t always gold . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. God bless
Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had no problems checking in except for the pet fee that took a while to process. Breakfast was ok for a standard hotel. Front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly. My family and I give it a 4 out of 5.
