Location is okay. Service was ehh. & the Room deserved zero stars! Upon arrival there was an issue where they were trying to double charge us. We paid two weeks in advance & their Computer was showing we still owed more than our room was reserved for. The manager did end up fixing this problem & we Didn’t have to pay extra. However, we were literally nervous to touch anything or even walk on the floor!!! If it was possible to get a refund I would be requesting one. I literally cleaned the room before doing anything… including using the bathroom. Thankfully I keep sanitizer in my purse. There were burn marks all on the bathtub & counters Either cigarettes or else in a “non smoking facility” yet you can literally SMELL the smoke through out the facility. There was marijuana smell through the entire second floor that was so strong it was smelt in our room. We were nervous to sleep as there were people roaming the halls through all hours of the night slamming doors & being loud in general. Management did nothing about this. When looking for the elevators (as we were unaware the hotel HAS NONE) the housekeeping Literally LAUGHED AT US & said “Get to hauling up, there are none” Bathrooms were horrible. Floor at front door of our room was super sticky. Sink was nasty. Trash all over the bathroom floor yet the room Smelled like bleach……. We literally had trash on the floor IN OUR BATHROOM including a cigarette butt (neither myself nor my husband smokes) I’m assuming the bleach smell was just dumped everywhere to make it “smell” clean but really I think they were trying to mask a smell bc it was insanely over powering. We stayed from a Wednesday to a Saturday morning & there was so many times people were smoking so heavily I had an asthma attack on multiple occasions & havent dealt with my asthma in about a year… I called the front office & told them, they claimed they would “handle” it yet it only got worse. Horrible. Do not recommend to Anyone. Not even my worst enemy. & as I’ve noticed the “management” or “owners” only respond with “On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future.” so I’m not interested in hearing the “apology” either. This is HORRIBLE SERVICE. Not to mention not a single Bible in any of the drawers….. I thought they were supposed to be?? Attached is my proof of having stayed here. As I’ve seen them deny someone’s stay. Also attached is pics of the room UPON arrival.
Room was clean and bed was comfortable but extremely hot upon arrival. A/C got to work by that evening though and worked great. Be warned though, there is NO elevator for 2nd floor rooms (and no A/C in stairwell) and no water in vending machines. Outdoor pool closed at 9pm, but it was clean and maintained. Breakfast ends at 9am. Staff was helpful and friendly which helped make up for some of the oddities. Not much attention was paid to construction as holes were not covered by light switch plates, etc... Seemed like owners set up everything to revolve around them with times and their car obviously sat out front under the covered entryway, but wasn't much of a problem since it wasn't very busy. Price was good, especially for the cleanliness. I'd stay again for the price and knowing the quirks.
Rooms smelled like smoke, sheets stained. Everything filthy and gross. We needed place to stay driving across the country last minute and were a best western rewards member. Don’t trust any positive review this place is absolutely disgusting. The hallways smell like vomit. Worst hotel I have stayed at in 20 years and very disappointed in the best western brand they even put their name on this building. Workers nice, room and building gross. Do not think about staying here and let the lower price trick you.
I met the maintenance worker Gerry because I ran out of gas and he knew someone that would be interested in my camcorder camera. I knew him from an electric bike that I sold him. But I was driving my 40' motorhome with my 8 year old daughter and I was needing to come up with some cash so he took it and sold it. He didn't pay me anything had me waiting around for 4 days with my little girl in the heat every day he would say tomorrow he was. Going to pay me or like this morning he was.literally sitting on the bike I sold him when I pulled up and he said that he was meeting with his boss then so he could get paid and pay me so my little girl and myself could drive home to.leesville. He never came through. I walked in to talk to him and the owner threatened to call the cops.on me. For what? I didn't do anything his employee has my 900. Camcorder owes me 200. And just keeps telling me he's gonna pay me but hasn't paid me anything. I tried explaining it to him but he just continued with the threat. Seeing that I had absolutely no fuel, had to borrow some money from a family member just to leave so the cops didn't get called.on me and honestly I should have ket him.call them. I have all the proof I need on my phone from all the messages of him saying he's going to pay me. 4 days I waited. That owner wouldn't even hear me out. Really really jacked up if I say the least. So wrong. So he just got away with stealing my 900. Camcorder. That's not okay. I was stranded because of him. That was my way home and now I'm still stranded because of him with my little.girl. Tha js so.much I hope that karma comes to meet you guys.
Nice hotel. The workers were friendly and helpful. The price for a room was great and the room was nice! There is also restaurants and gas stations close by.
