Oh my goodness. This is a traveler’s godsend. Pulling into the parking lot, my heart sank. I do not stay at motels, and this looks like one. We knew there wasn’t another place for many miles so this was it. But they surprised us in every area. I am so thankful for this place. We stayed here with 4 adults and 6 kids from 9-14. We had 2 rooms with 3 queens each, and had plenty of space. We’re a big family, and we came from time at a resort in Colorado and stopped here on the way home. I wish the resort could care for their property and customers the way this Super 8 in tiny Colby KS does. The rooms are very clean, the beds made perfectly. The linens are quality and we slept very well on excellent mattresses. At breakfast, the eggs and sausage are better than I’ve had nearly anywhere. The staff attending breakfast had plastic gloves on. We are so thankful for this stop. If we had to pick something negative to say, the water pressure in the sink in room 126 is a little aggressive and splashes clothing. This made us giggle. Thank you so much Super 8!!

The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. The location is within close proximity to several restaurants and gas stations. We would definitely stay there again.

We were supposed to stay at this Super 8 to celebrate my sister's graduation. We arrived late and were greeted by a nice woman. It was odd that reception was not fully lit and there was a large automatic essential oil diffuser on full blast. We were given our key and told to go to the next building. We did. It was not well lit in the hallways and you could hear talking/arguing in various rooms as we made our way upstairs. As we walked, over powering smells from air fresheners started to cause concerns as to what was being covered up. We made it to our room. We closed the door and checked to see if the lock worked. It did not if it was closed. However, we were able to lock the door if it was open. We took video of this to explain to the front desk. We went back to the front desk to be greeted by a new person. We tried to explain the situation and he immediately started arguing saying he could fix the door. We did not feel comfortable with that as it was an alignment issue, not a simple fix. We tried to show him the video in a calm manner. He continued to argue. We then asked to be moved. He said there were no other rooms for the same king bed we had booked. At this point and his attitude, we asked for a refund and we would not be staying at the hotel. He continued to be upset. He printed a receipt for me to sign and gave us a copy. We did leave, and as of today were not charged. However, this is not the place I would recommend. It also appears they like to argue with 1 star ratings so this may be interesting to follow along.

I was charged just under $100 for a just-barely-acceptable motel room. My first annoyance was at the check-in...the male clerk, who spoke with a very heavy accent & was difficult to understand, treated me like I was dumb because I asked for clarification once he told me where my room was (I had no idea the motel has a separate building that sets in back to the west of the main building). But my main complaint is that the in-room refrigerator was warm when I checked in and didn't seem to be working. My medications must be kept refrigerated, so I had to go back to the front desk to have someone look at it (it had been left unplugged). This was an ongoing issue with the room, I later had to pull the mattresses away from the headboard in order to plug in the wall lamp next to the bed. On the positive side, the room itself appeared to be clean. These weren't major things, but for the money I paid, I expected better.

No hot water. Internet was intermittent. No way to control the temperature because there was no thermostat. The heat was either on or off. The air was either on or off. The coffee pot did not work and the breakfast (which we did not eat) was in a different building. The room lighting and supply of receptacles was pathetic. The positives were that the room was clean and the the bed was comfortable.
