Sullivan's Castle Island

Fries are delicious but do not attempt the lobster roll! Pitiful to say the least. I grew up in New Bedford so I know a good lobster roll! It had lightly coated lobster between a bun, no lettuce. Usually you get a choice of either mayo or brown butter. I almost returned it. Thank goodness the lobster meat was fresh. However I had to add two packets of mayo to make it tasty. For the money I paid ($27 w/tax) not worth it. I'll stick to burgers and hot dogs next time.
I went to the one in The Hub at North Station. I wanted to like this. But what happened cut my appetite in half and my ability to work effectively the rest of the day. I was pulling out my meal from the paper bag and the paper container they put their saucy Buffalo chicken fingers in has gaps in it so the sauce spilled all over my white pants ruining them completely. This was during my lunch break so I couldn’t even go home and have clients to meet in the afternoon. Please change the to-go containers if you’re going to serve something like this.
It was a bit rains but it didn’t stop to visit this restaurant The lobster roll is great Scallops very delicious Fries 🍟 are good Chowder quite ok
In Boston you have to try Sullivan’s at Castle Island(Southie). Had the lobster roll and fried clam bellies. The roll was good without the much mayo.. I have had bigger on the Cape but for the money this was good. Clam bellies were tasty.
We were in the area and sullivans was recommended to us by a southy. We had the lobster roll and a haddock sandwich. Both were delicious. The charm and ambiance were great. Nothing fancy just good food. Enjoyed walking castle island too. Recommended!
