12/20/17 @ 8:46pm. Only been here twice picking up an online order, a year apart, and that's only because they're right across the street from that big mall. That said, both times have been great visits. Friendly fantastic service, clean store, plenty of seating, tasty cookies 😄. Didn't ask about the fireplace if it was working or not but I liked the idea of it.
The manager there, McKenzie, needs to work on her customer service. Starbucks is known to provide exceptional customer service experience and she did not meet expectations today. I placed a mobile order and came to pick it up 15 minutes later. When I got there, they didn’t have my order so I ended up being late to work. So with reason, I was frustrated. I called the store and spoke to her. She showed NO empathy. You could’ve at least faked it. She didn’t even apologize for the the inconvenience they caused (by not updating their mobile app with the items that are available at their store). I’m really disappointed, because I actually like this location. Everyone there is usually really nice, especially Sarah, she’s ALWAYS on point. But the store manager, come on, I expect better. The only reason I gave them 1 star is because I made a complaint and Starbucks (the company, not this specific location) handled it immediately.
This is probably my favorite Starbucks, if only by default. Everything here seems to be just right. It's seldom too busy to get in and out quickly. The staff is courteous and friendly without being obsequious. There's usually plenty of seating available and the table area is large and generally clean. The music isn't too loud and the store is usually well stocked with whatever it is besides coffee that Starbucks sells, without being cluttered.
It's too bad I am giving nothing but bad reviews lately, but tell me, what ever happened to customer service AND cleanliness? I will never go back to Wolf Road Starbucks. Not only did I get a cup FULL OF ICE and a little coffee, the work area the employees were working at was FILTHY. How hard is it to take a cloth and wipe the counter down? It was disgusting. I'll go to Price Chopper Glenmont before I will ever go back to Wolf Road. Far cleaner and far more caring about how your beverage is being made!
If you like Starbucks, then this is one of the better locations in the area. There is a surprisingly large interior with lots of seating and power outlets centered around the fireplace. Very quiet and a great place to read or get some work done.
