Star Market
What people are saying
This is one of my lovely grocery stores at Qunicy. I found anything I needed when I was there. The staff is nice and professional. They have some great fresh vegetables and meats
Great location in Quincy, close to other grocery stores and shops. Large parking lot that is easy to come and go. The store is decently stocked and kept organized throughout the day. Prices could be cheaper, as I’m sometimes able to find the same items for cheaper at BJs or Target. There’s a Starbucks inside, as well as a bakery, which sometimes has great deals.
The star market are very organize and clean 9/10. The place have plenty of parking space 9/10. The products are fresh 9/10. The variety of product 7/10 need more Asian sauces and snacks. The store have around 10% Asian customer base the employees need to be a bit more diversify to help the different customer base. The staff are helpful, standing at mead and seafood section less than 3 seconds and the worker ask me if I need any help!! Over all 8.5 definitely a place to do grocery!
Normally I would not review of a big and popular market like this but I got one thing to say... The people and the culture they cultivate in the market are the kindest and nicest and sweetest people. They are the shining star that enrich the community. I'm not exaggerating!!
The shopping center that this particular SM is located in is pretty interesting, especially if you’re new in the area like I am. Watch out for the Dollar Tree, especislly. People get very upset if they even think you’re cutting the line. Be on your best behavior! 😂😂 The Granite Run Quincy Star Market is, however, the complete opposite. The employees here are actual angels! Tonight, I decided that I didn’t want to spend $10 on a bag of chia seeds. Not that I haven’t before, but sometimes it’s just too expensive and you’re not in the mood to spend the money. Guess what? The checkout lady with whom I was discussing chia seed pudding recipes purchased them for me! And this is not the first time I’ve encountered such generosity from the ladies at this Supermarket. Therefore, I feel obligated to offer what I hope will be recognized as the friendly and helpful advice that I mean it to be. $10 on a cashier’s weekly paycheck is no small thing! And, if these women have done this for me, I’m sure they’ve done it for others. I want to point out, because it’s easy to forget, that while good people are busy feeling good about helping others, there are countless not-so-good people who will see this and pounce! While you are feeling good for helping them, they are thinking about all the ways they can take advantage of you. Besides, look at it like this : your money = your time. Your time = your worth. Don’t give away worth, because there are people out there that will never stop taking it. Thank you again for being the good ones! Please do yourself a favor and adopt a 70/30 mindset. 70% practicality (which is another way of saying reality) and 30% kindness. It’s just good self-care. And you are the one you need to take care of first, so you can keep taking care of everyone else 💞 EDITED. UPDATE: 😨 oh no! 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ how was my review of Dollar Tree misunderstood? As an insult to the town of Quincy, nevertheless! I’m not even sure how that mistake could have been made, but let me assure the person who wrote it that I’ve been living in Quincy for 16 months now and have posted and expressed my heartfelt appreciation and admiration for the people and parts of this city that make it great. 1. My REVIEW is for the amazing job that the Star Market employees do, day in and day out; My COMMENT on the dollar tree is just that - an accurate comment. I still shop there and I simply mentioned it because it’s a characteristic of that particular store that stands out to people. Neither of those is a review of Quincy, Massachusetts. I’m also glad to hear you’ll be commending your employees. They truly deserve to be recognized for how good they are to the customers! ❤️
