A home away from home, incredible staff, clean rooms and great comforts , like clean sheets and free breakfast. You can not go wrong with this place, it is so close to the airport ( free shuttle) and so close to the local grocery store ( Giant, one of my favorite in the entire country). I highly recommend.
I stayed at Sonesta ES Suites Dulles Airport, and my experience was extremely disappointing. Upon check-in, I discovered hair on the bed and floor. The next day, I found a flea in the room. I immediately reported these issues to the front desk and was moved to another room, but this caused significant inconvenience and stress. After 10 p.m., in the rain, I had to pack up and move rooms, losing sleep in the process. The property also had a strong mold smell, and management completely ignored my concerns. This was an uncomfortable and frustrating stay. I will never stay here again and do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
I ended up delayed and missing my connection at Dulles. All the Marriott hotels were booked up and it was very late. Michael at Sonesta had a room available and was able to get me in quickly so I could get some sleep. Extremely friendly gentleman and I really appreciated his assistance. Clean and comfortable room.
Going to sleep now in a room that smells like a marriage of ashtrays and air freshener. The "renovation" is extremely overstated. In real estate, we would call this a "paint over." And don't respond asking if I asked to move rooms (I don't have the time or energy) nor whether I spoke with a manager (I shouldn't have to). You know this room stinks. And maybe they all do, but someone in your employ knows this is bad, and it is not my job to bring it to your attention. Hotels in this area are tough, but definitely try elsewhere.
A full package home, clean and beautiful. Internet speed is perfect for free internet. There is also a premium internet option which you would not need. 2 separates rooms in our suit, so while one person sleeps in the bedroom, the other can attend the online meetings from the saloon. The bedroom has a large dressing area. The kitchen has all the utilities of a regular house, including the dish washer, the refrigerator, the range, the toast maker, the coffee machine, the microwave, sets of glasses mugs and plates etc. there are 2 tv one in each room. Plenty of fitness machines. Free parking. Free hot breakfast from 7 to 10am. The seats at the garden area.
