The hotel is very nice clean and the room was super clean.. When we checked in I asked the front desk lady how much was parking per night she said 26 bucks but before we checked out they charged my husband card for 168 dollars they didn’t tell us it was hidden fees with the parking so if you stay @ this hotel be prepared for hidden fees they charged us 55 dollars a night basically if you add all the fees.. Oh and it was very peaceful and quiet will stay again.. They just need to be up front about the hidden fees that’s the only thing I disliked about the hotel… Job well done to the housekeeper ❤️
Think twice when booking. After booking and paying, they asked me for a $150 deposit, which they said they would return after seeing that everything was in order. When I left the room, I left it clean and without damaging anything. This is the second time I have booked here and until today everything was fine. It has been 3 days and they have not returned anything to me. I checked my account statement and they have already charged the deposit. It is not fair that they do that when they give you a rate and keep the deposit. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO SONESTA.
My husband and I had an annoying and difficult American Airlines experience, ending up stuck in this hotel overnight in a damp room. The room, which American Airlines gave us a voucher for, smelled and had a shower curtain that didn't fit, so we also ended up soaking the bathroom floor... But I wanted to leave a review to compliment the above and beyond human staff we encountered late at night in our miserable state. The shuttle driver was SO kind and empathetic to the group of us coming over from our cancelled flight, though they must see this situation every night. Beyond being so human to us in a stressful moment while on the shuttle itself, the shuttle driver lent my husband their OWN phone charger (since we didn't have our bags). We went to the hotel bar/restaurant as it was closing, and the bartender kindly worked with us to improvise a vegan meal--again, a ridiculously patient, empathetic, human person, who made our experience SO MUCH easier. The people who work at this hotel have TOUGH customer service jobs, and they were the biggest comfort to us. Would I recommend this hotel? I hope never to see this hotel again in my life! But the staff here are such incredibly kind people, and I am so grateful to them for giving us the best of our bad situation.
I've noticed coming into my room, regardless of the temperature, the room itself always feels much more humid than the rest of the building. I was up all night working and put a do not disturb sign on my door. 9:30 sharp, I get a loud knock on my door from housekeeping. After letting them know the room was occupied three times in a row, housekeeping asked, "service, or no service?" What is the point of giving us do not disturb signs if housekeeping is going to knock anyway🤣 Then, I need to do laundry today. I was told by the front desk the other night that the guest laundry is on the third floor. Little did I know, *you need a special key to access the third floor*. Great. I asked the front desk for the key. "Sorry, someone else has the key and is using the laundry room at the moment." They have one washer and one dryer🤣🤣 So, expect not to be able to access any other floors during your stay here-- Better hope all your group is on the same floor. Expect to wait for access to the laundry room. And expect to be woken up regardless of the do not disturb sign on your door handle. Ridiculous. And from a three star hotel??
The hotel's spacious rooms and friendly staff made for a pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone experiencing unexpected overnight delays due to airport issues.
