Best dining experience in Aiken, there is no doubt among locals. Food is interesting, well seasoned and delicious... every time!! Booked out 2 months for good reason. Portions are large without compromising quality. Sommelier Christine is fantastic. PS. Only a crummy person leaves a low score for being unable to get a table. Wait for reservations like the rest of us.

Love the atmosphere, the service is fantastic, and the food and wine are delicious. Huge portions, so come hungry! Good wine selection on the menu, but if you really want great pairings ask the sommelier for her recommendation. She made up a flight of three reds that went amazingly with my pork chop. They also sell wine retail to take home, so you can bring home a bottle of something you enjoyed with dinner.

I did a search, found this place and was very glad I did. I used this for a date night with no regrets. The waitress and sommelier were amazing and the food was made to perfection. The whole night was amazing...I definitely will be back.

I only review positive experiences so I am therefore compelled to review Solo Vino. I heard about this intimate dining establishment through friends from work. As a solo diner I tend to avoid the crowded times and lunch on Saturday fit the bill nicely. First, the atmosphere really turns my crank. I just love the cozy feel and those "Sputnik" lamps hanging from the ceiling are my jam. I was greeted warmly by name as I had a reservation and was seated promptly. (There is no bad seat in the house, BTW). My server, Julia, took great care of me and answered all my questions. There’s a nice variety of options on the lunch menu. I opted for the "Chicken Parmesan on a roll" and it was delicious and the portion size was perfect. Also a plus, it was accompanied by a petite side of very tasty fruit to fill that sweet gap. I've heard it said that French women stay slim by eating fruit as dessert. Thankfully, I am no French woman. I ordered the cheesecake and it was divine. Sumptuous is the word I should use. As for adult beverages, Solo Vino shines with its availability of wines. I love a Pinot Noir and I HIGHLY recommend "Chemistry". This Oregonian wine has an unusually floral finish and it is delicious. The finish on most Pinot Noirs are dry/dry and sweet but this one actually finishes like a rose opening its petals. Very good! I also opted to get a "Flight of wines' with dessert, the "Yes! You May Beaujolais!!!". The flights are a terrific way of trying out 3 varieties of vino in 3 ounce portions. And I did. I also found out that Solo Vino has a Level 4 Sommelier with a genuine passion for wine. Tastings are on Saturday at 3 pm. Before I forget, One of the coolest things for me was the ability to purchase a bottle of my dinner wine to take home, which I did. You can too, so give this wonderful little gem a try.

This is an amazing restaurant as well as an awesome wine bar. We went mid afternoon on a Saturday and absolutely loved it all. The seafood chowder was superb and everyone’s meal was nothing short of excellent. The wine they recommended Was a beautiful red wine with a smooth finish. I would definitely give it a try!
