Be careful. Smarte Carte has a crazy employee at JFK TERMINAL. Because my family and I got out through an emergency exit by mistake since we got confused with a construction they are doing at the main exit, this guy came to us and wanted to hit me plus he threatening to fight with my husband in front of our kids. I called 911 and he moved from where we were at. Other employees who work there just told us to move and didn’t even apologize or anything. I am waiting to speak to this company to make a formal complaint.

Essentially accused me of trying to hide something in my bag. When I cooperated and literally removed everything from the bag to show I wasn’t hiding anything he kicked me out and said they wouldn’t be servicing me because they didn’t like my perspective (I was irritated at the insinuation I was hiding something, when I just didn’t want my bag disorganized.). Absolutely do not use.

I found the Smarte Carte services easy to use and the staff was courteous and professional. I used their porter services in Jan-2023. I had already paid for a cart and they applied the charge to the porter charges. The manager Sarfaraz Ahmed made sure my family was assigned a porter. He even allowed us small suitcases free of charge to which we tipped generously.

Our flight to Rome was cancelled in the JFK electrical fire fiasco. Marie J, at the info services desk, was a huge help to us. When we could not get answers from the airline, she took my family and some of our fellow travelers to find help even after her shift was over, and continued to stay with us until we had a viable contact. She even checked in later in the day and the following day, to make sure we were okay. On a day filled with frustration, she went above and beyond, and we were so grateful for her kindness and assistance.

If I could rate a negative start I would. The guy outside jfk terminal 4 would trick you into using the big cart saying it’s free then ask for 60$ for taking the usitcasss across the doors . Very rude guy . Almost comes out as he is going to hit you . Be very careful while using them . Ask them 2-3 times to be very clear and sure
