This place is a hidden gem. My wife and I got to the airport wayyyyy to early (3 hours too early). While looking for a place to eat we stumbled upon Sky Azure. This place has an amazing view, comfortable seating, good drink and beer selection and is very inviting. Christopher greeted us, helped us get settled and poured some great cocktails. I might just have to arrive too early more often. 😉
More homeless people are taking away the beauty of it. It's a nice place to learn and watch, how the workers play a very important role in cordinating the whole operation.
Still a beautiful place. No longer has food. Service started out comically bad. I arrived and sat at the bar. The bartender kept her back to me while engaged in conversation with the only other customer. I waited for a solid 10 minutes occasionally trying to make eye contact. I eventually interrupted. Her response was, " do you want something from me?" ". I asked for a Raging B!tch beer( I'm sorry but I didn't name it ). She asked if I had tried it before. I assured her that I had and I also asked for water. The tap was frothy, and she had to walk away from it for a bit to let it settle down. She reported this to me and I asked again for the water. Her response was, " I heard you". She filled the water, then returned to the tap and finished filling the glass with a different beer (Loose Cannon, I didnt name that one either). I guess at some point she realized I wasn't a bum / her ex/ whoever ruined her day and her demeanor changed entirely. I was thanked and and offered a pleasant parting comment.
Very nice cocktail bar with a view. Food's good, staff's friendly, and it has a nice view of the airport. Great place to sit down for a drink and plug in your phone or laptop while waiting for your flight.
