Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport
What people are saying
I really just want to compliment the service of this hotel. My flight was delayed to the next day in the morning and I was left without my checked bag. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and very nice. She made sure I had some toiletries and answered all of my questions regarding shuttles, airport info, etc. Girl was on it. Whoever worked August 1st into August 2nd, you are the bomb.
It was Memorial weekend and the hotel was booked so my response will be tempered. We are a Silver Elite member (what ever that means). Arriving on Saturday and called Friday for an early check in, of which we could not do. We arrived @ 9:00am to check in but was told our room was not ready. Front desk accommodated us by taking our luggage and we went off to explore the city. Came back @ 8:00 pm only to be told our room still wasn’t ready. We waited a few more minutes and they had a room for us (got a voucher for a free drink). Got into the room and it was hot. Waited awhile and still hot. I called down to front desk reported it and they will send someone up. Waited about an hour and nothing. I walked down and reported it. Was told at that time no other rooms available but they will give me $100 off my bill, I said I would rather have a cool room and no discount. Allen (maintenance person who was very nice) came up and reset the unit. Waited another hour or so to let it cool. Nothing. Wife was not having it. She came back from an event and we had a room to move to……@ 12:30. I realize the hotel was screaming busy but Allen/ maintenance person and bar staff could not be any nicer and accommodating. Front desk staff acted only when a very unhappy hot person came to them. (BTW she was told she had negative energy). I am guessing negative hot energy but I didn’t witness. I must have been too polite in asking for a room with a/c hours before.
Plane was late, Alamo took forever, so we didn't check in until after 2AM on a Thursday night. I'm a Platinum Elite member...I travel a bunch, but this was a bad deal. Got up to the room and it wreaked of marijuana. I called down to the front desk and the guy told me he was brand new and will call me back to see if he had another room. 10 minutes later I. Called back and he said the hotel was sold out and he was checking to make sure the other people with reservations had valid credit cards. I asked if any of them had kings -- maybe they wouldn't mind the smell of ganja -- so we could switch. He spent the next 5 minutes going through their reservations and then told me to talk to the manager the next morning about getting a discount. I don't need a discount. I need a room that doesn't smell like a cheap brothel. I need a room with carpeting that's not disgusting. And I need that room to not have the rusted out 6' AC filter cover thing on the wall next to the thermostat falling off.
Stayed here for a few days. The lady behind the counter was really helpful and had great customer service. The rooms were fine but nothing to rave about. As you might figure, the drinks at the bar are incredibly overpriced. Not to mention the bartender was rude and made weak drinks. The parking situation is odd and the machine doesn't work at times. Overall not a terrible place to stay.
I had an exceptional experience at this location. The service was fast and such a breeze for me. It was my first time visiting Philly and the Front Desk agent Sakiema helped me with everything that I needed when we checked in all the questions I had about the surrounding area she answered. I will DEFINITELY be visiting again and I pray she’s there we need more great customer service like hers during these crazy times in the world. Thanks for making my visit an unforgettable experience I really appreciate it!!!!
