Shadyside Memorial Park Chinese Gardens
What people are saying
Surprisingly, it was very well kept. We had fun not too many people there. That day, the only thing was the bathrooms were all locked. Which I'm sure there's a reason why I just don't know it. So that was the only negative part about that day
Entering the park, you wouldn't think you would find anything remarkable. If you wander a bit in the shade under the trees, you find a treasure of a garden. From Chinese inspired stone walls to statues memorializing veterans, this garden is packed with textures and tributes.
This park is so beautiful! It's a shame the locals trash it. There was so much litter around the stairs. If I lived near this park I'd make sure to spend some time cleaning it up. It's really a beautiful gift to this area.
My dog and I spend a lot of time here during every season. No matter when we go the trails are clean and for the most part, well lot and paved. There's lots of native plants and trees, birds and wildlife, and we love it. Whether we're walking around the lake or hanging out around the memorial, we always have a good time.
The city has let these beautiful gardens be destroyed. They are falling apart. There's trash everywhere.Rocks just falling off the steps as you step on them.
