Save-A-Lot

Staff are helpful and kind. Store is clean and open for easy access for scooters or wheelchairs. Best place for groceries in Ithaca... Except it's closing its doors for good on 9/22/18. It will be missed by many in the community
Produce is NEVER good. Even if it looks good after a day it's brown. Meat prices okay but also turns brown quickly. Had tomatoes on my counter for 4 wks & still looked bright red once. Not sure why? Bottom line, walmart is cheaper on everything almost.
Cashier very rude comment to lady in front of us in check out. I had to walk away to keep my mouth shut. Evidently he was told to go to check out to cash 2 of us out. Comment was, " I'm sorry they found me". Really!!! If you don't want to work. Go home. I am pretty sure his comment was heard by the person in the office. If I was that lady, I would've left groceries on counter and left. Rant over!!!
I found a coffee that I really liked mcdaniels instant I visited my sister found a store in east lansing I started bying it there they closed up then my niece was going to college in my pleasant I found one there so I started bying my coffee in mt pleasant they closed I heard they were putting one in Ithaca then o yes close to home now they are closing it also I want my coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Off-brand offerings can save money but they really restrict the selection in these stores. I shop here with my mother-in-law. I prefer to shop at Aldi's for a better selection and savings.
