The grocery industry as a whole needs to stop making money for their profit holders and allow proper staffing in their stores. This is my neighborhood grocery store and it's gotten to the point that I have to check the expiry for every item I buy because at least three items a shopping trip are past expiration upon initial pick up. I worked grocery as a teenager in the 2000s and there was rarely expired product on the shelves. Especially not 7+ days past expiration date. No longer being a 24hr store means your overnight crew should be doing this. Either properly hire staff. Or pay the staff you have to actually care enough to do their jobs. I drive the extra 15min to the Bothell Safeway when I can because they actually have a store worth shopping in.

This location is the worst. If you shop the ad they are out of everything. Need eggs, milk or cheese? You’d think they would have the essentials but they don’t. They do not make it right or replace if products are moldy, old or out of stock. Inconsistencies in policies and what staff say. Customer service and staff do the bare minimum - won’t even check and will say they are out but items are located on a different shelf. There has also been an increase in crime and poor response from this store. We live in Kenmore nearby here and will avoid this location at all cost.

The groceries are expensive and the last straw for me is the worker there that makes the whole store stink like cologne. He wears so much, that I can smell it in half of the store and it gives me a headache. I don’t know who in their right mind wears that much cologne, let alone in a store with no windows and ventilation. It’s impossible to breathe inside when he’s working…

Not sure why safeway thout that the sweet and sour chicken and egg roll looking like this is a good thing. I know not to expect the absolute best getting safeway chinese food, but the quality of this product was awful. Hopefully this isn't a recipe change that's going to be permanent. It was like eating breaded cardboard.

I used to love this store, but unfortunately, the last few times have been awful. Short staffed, I understand most everywhere is. But that plus the lack of product or help getting the product Impossible. It's truly unfortunate.
