Residence Inn Fort Worth Alliance Airport
What people are saying
I've stayed in this hotel 3 times and was always satisfied. When Mary is in charge of breakfast (Monday - Friday) it's the best breakfast I ever had at any hotel, nothing is missing and you can feel that she puts her heart out to make sure the quality is great. The hotel is maybe not very new, but it's always clean and the staff takes care of things. There's a swimming pool and a jacuzzi! (In case Texan heat is not enough haha). Small, but well equipped gym. To do laundry you need to download an app, which is a bit inconvenient. Would stay again!
The rooms are decent. We chose it because it was between fort worth, Ray Roberts State Park, and DFW. The sofa bed was squeaky, which is expected, right off a highway, which is a plus. Kroger is near by. Kitchen The utensils, flatware, and pot were good and prepared very thoroughly. The coffee pot was dirty. The dishwasher wasn't good at cleaning the bowls. I had to hand wash the bowls. Living room Nice chairs. Beddings for the sofa bed were not provided unless asked. Bedroom Standard bedroom. No complaints or extra points Bathroom The bathtub had rusted, and the paint chipped off. Food Breakfast on Friday was great and extensive, including tortillas, eggs, cheese, scrambled eggs, egg ham, cheese patty, bread, muffins, fruits, fruit salad, oatmeal, juices, and cereal with silverware and ceramic plates. For breakfast on Saturday, eggs, cheese bread, etc., are offered. No fruit salad, silverware or tortilla. Amenities The fitness center was functional. The pool looked ok, but the hot tub wasn't working.
They overcharged by more than $200 for four nights, took talking to them at the desk during checkout followed by 3 phone calls (I was supposed to receive a call back from their manager but never did) to finally have them realize and fix their mistake. The shower curtain rods were falling off the walls, generally needs better upkeep and a new manager.
My recent stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Worth Alliance Airport was a mix of highs and lows, offering both positives and negatives that shaped my experience. Let's start with the downsides. The ice maker in my room presented a persistent inconvenience. It would produce only one batch of ice at a time, requiring manual intervention to initiate subsequent batches. Additionally, a missing part of the closet door prevented it from fully closing, which was a minor but noticeable flaw. The presence of cracks in the ceiling, particularly one spanning the room, raised concerns about structural integrity, especially given the room's location on the fourth floor. Furthermore, the prolonged state of disrepair of the hot tub and the cleanliness issues in the pool detracted from the overall appeal of the recreational facilities. However, amidst these shortcomings, there were several commendable aspects of my stay. The staff at the hotel stood out for their exceptional service. From warm greetings upon arrival to consistently pleasant interactions throughout my stay, their professionalism and hospitality were noteworthy. Despite the apparent signs of wear and tear in the hotel, the staff's dedication to guest satisfaction shone through, deserving recognition and appreciation. Moreover, the hotel offered amenities that added value to my stay. The well-equipped gym stood out as one of the better ones I've encountered in my travels, providing ample opportunities for fitness enthusiasts. The reliable Wi-Fi connection, with impressive download speeds even in a large building with numerous guests, was a welcome convenience. During my testing throughout the week, my tests generally yielded around 200+mpbs download and about 10mbps up (I'm assuming the constant 10mbps upload was a network limitation set by their IT.) Regarding room features, while the layout could be optimized for better TV viewing angles, the cohesive room decorations and functional furnishings contributed to a comfortable atmosphere. However, minor maintenance issues like slow-draining kitchen sinks need attention to ensure a seamless experience for guests. In conclusion, while the Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Worth Alliance Airport has its share of maintenance challenges, its dedicated staff and decent amenities make it a viable accommodation option. Addressing maintenance issues promptly, particularly regarding structural concerns and recreational facilities, would significantly enhance the overall guest experience. Additional support for maintenance tasks, especially for larger projects like pool maintenance, may be necessary to uphold the hotel's standards and ensure guest satisfaction. With attention to these areas, this hotel has the potential to reclaim its status as a top choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience.
I’m here about every other week for work, so I have spent a ~lot~ of time at this hotel. I was initially staying at the Hampton Inn next door but am very glad I switched. - Every single staff member I’ve interacted with has been friendly and accommodating. And I mean every single one: the manager, front desk staff, sales manager, kitchen manager (brought me a splash of milk for my coffee once when I caught her after they’d cleared the breakfast stuff away), and cleaning crew. - Free continental breakfast is decent with some variety from week to week which I really appreciate. - For being right next to a highway, it’s incredibly quiet. As I write this I am in a room facing the highway and can’t hear a thing but the refrigerator running. - There’s a little outdoor space with a pool that’s good for a change of scenery. - All the gym equipment works. - The rooms are clean and in my opinion fine for the price point. Some things are a bit worn down, think things like a couple outlets that don’t work, lumpy pillows, etc. One gripe I do have with every Residence Inn I’ve ever stayed in is the lack of consistency with kitchen supplies. One room will have a giant pan and no pots, another room will have a tiny pot and no pans. Sometimes you get a cutting board, sometimes you don’t. Ensuring every room had at least one of every essential item would make things easier for travelers who are staying long enough to use the kitchen but not long enough to fully stock it. Note that this hotel would not be a good choice if you were traveling for pleasure and wanted to be close to…anything really. The location is perfect if you’re working nearby, otherwise you’re basically just on a concrete island fenced in by highway on all sides. Well, if you’re working nearby you’re still on a concrete island fenced in by highway on all sides, but at least you can get to the office in 5 minutes.
