Absolutely the best latte I’ve ever had. And I’ve been around! Perfectly crafted, creamy, deliciousness. The soft serve, cookie and tart were also incredible! The atmosphere is dreamy and laid back. I can’t say enough about this little gem. We were just passing through, and now I want to move to Ashland. Lol.

I was excited to try out this café today Thursday 6/7/2024 to do some remote working while traveling for the weekend. Looked like my kind of café. Before purchasing anything setting up my laptop, I asked the man behind the counter if it was dog friendly. I didn’t see any signs that indicated pets were not allowed. I have two adorable, super friendly and well behaved labradoodles. He was very friendly about it and gave an immediate yes. I shortly returned with my dogs. Upon ordering a flat white with oat milk, the young lady with the edges of her hair dyed pink was very snooty and asked how I wanted it made. I asked her what that meant as there’s only one way to make a flat white. She went on with telling me there was multiple ways to make a flat white expecting me not to be able to tell her how to make a flat white. So I described exactly how to make a flat white with the number of ounces of espresso and a bit more than a dollop of foam. It felt quite condescending and I called her out on it. I almost left but decided to stay as the other young gentleman who was the barista said he knew exactly what was needed. I tipped him directly as appreciated his interception. I returned to the counter a bit later to order a chai latte. The young lady was much more professional in her response so I was pleased about that. I then ordered lunch and had another pleasant experience. The quality of the drinks and the food was fantastic. It was a really lovely space to sit with my dogs and work. Sometime around 1 PM, there was a shift change. Around 2 PM I ordered their delicious organic ice cream, and continued to work about another hour and a half. Around that time someone came in with their dog, and one of my Labradoodles barked lightly two times. I indicated to her to be quiet and she listened. Shortly after that the young man working the shift with dreadlocks came over and told me I had to leave the café because of my dogs. I asked why. He said that dogs are not allowed in the café. I specifically explained to him that I had asked if they were allowed before I even entered with them in the morning. He told me the same thing again. I reminded him that there weren’t any signs posted anywhere either to indicate dogs weren’t allowed in the café, he just repeated that dogs weren’t allowed in the café with a blatantly unauthentic smile on his face. For the record, my dogs were on a leash fixed to the secured table leg, didn’t bother any customers unless a customer approached because they wanted to say hi to the dogs and pet them. They mostly played at my feet enjoying the cool polished cement floor. I’m posting this because I think it’s important for the owner(s) to understand how their staff are treating customers. It’s important to be consistent and to not make customers feel like they are being picked on. What a shame! I was planning to work another day, spending just under $50 again and order again multiple times, but don’t feel good about returning now or recommending the place to anyone as a result of my experience with some of the staff.

This little coffee shop is perfect for “light lovers”. This place has tons of natural lighting and lots of seating options. Perfect for students and also for groups. If you want some rays just go outside and as there is seating also available.
