Sandwhich shop in C terminal of airport. Was hoping for a step above McDonald's on a breakfast sandwich but was disappointed by the nearly $7 sandwhich. Service was adequate. Quality of ingredients were mediocre. Worst part was watching 2 fresh eggs passing through the conveyer as i waited for my sandwhich only to realize one of the staff made their own. Mine were the microwavable hockey puck sponge that were cold. Boooo.
I am the child of 2 flight attendants so I’ve eaten my fair share of airport foods. For the price point and the speed of service the meal I had here was one of the better experiences I’ve had with airport dining! There were several tasty vegetarian options, and it was easy to make things vegetarian that weren’t inherently (ie the bacon is added to the Mac and Cheese on site and it’s easy to just order it without meat!) everyone was really nice and while my sandwich toasted the employees asked how my day/trip was and chatted between serving other customers. My food was hot and hit the spot after a full day of flying! I’ve attached pictures which perhaps don’t look “beautiful” but I snapped to send my mum because I was impressed with how many veggies were on the sandwich rather than just a stack of lettuce like I’ve come to expect most places! I would recommend this place for a between connections bite to eat to any of my fellow travelers with a tight budget!
I used this location to get my pre-flight meal on several occasions with my gift card. I'll stop by this location again today, to get another sandwich to go with my flight. It's an interesting thing that the main stay is what you get that is satisfyingly good. The person making the sandwiches seems irritated that I disturbed her packing the meat for sandwiches. The female cashier was more interested in flirting with the individual putting the toppings on the sandwich then she was assisting me. I really don't like this location.
Most important, the food was good. Not acceptable, actually good food. The sandwich was a decent size, and the mac n cheese was quite tasty. Actual cheese was used, wow. Having said that, the service was awful. None of the three ladies working wanted to be there. All of them had scowls on their faces. I know you work in an airport eatery, that's not my fault. Leave your baggage at the time clock. The young lady that took our order did so by growling "What do you want?" at us. It was not a casual statement, we had indeed bothered her. It did not get any better. Look at the face of the young lady behind the counter in my pic. That was her expression the entire time we were there. Not just ordering, we ate there. I hope that they are having a better day now.
8/6/22 My food was delicious (Mama's Meatballs Sub). Really tasty. My disappointment is the employees behind the counter were carrying-on, talking loud and even using curse words. Anyone working for the public should be taught to conduct themselves with professionalism and restraint when working with the public.
