Pioneer Market
What people are saying
A grocery store where you can find most of your needs while heading toward Yosemite National Park. This store is like mini Walmart. I bought produce, milk, firewoods and some snacks. There are no major stores ahead of this point on your way to the park, so make sure to buy them here.
I recently visited Pioneer Market, and overall, it provided a decent shopping experience. One standout feature was their offering of Girl Scout yogurt, which added a unique and enjoyable touch to the dairy section. However, there were some aspects of the market that could be improved. The layout of the store felt a bit cluttered and disorganized, making it challenging to navigate through the aisles efficiently. Additionally, some areas seemed to lack variety in product selection, which may disappoint customers looking for a broader range of options. On the positive side, the staff at Pioneer Market were friendly and helpful, which contributed to a pleasant shopping atmosphere. The prices were also reasonable, making it a convenient option for everyday grocery needs. In conclusion, while Pioneer Market has its strengths, such as offering Girl Scout yogurt and providing friendly service, there are areas where it could enhance the overall shopping experience, particularly in terms of organization and product variety. Nonetheless, it remains a viable option for local grocery needs.
They have thieves working for them and the manager backs it up. I had $90 worth of food stolen from me there. Be careful shopping there. The $90 of food was for a disabled senior citizen.
Clean and very helpful. Parking can be hit or miss depending on the time of the day Absolutely wonderful service.
Love the checkers but hate the store! Very, very unfortunate it is the ONLY grocery store so it has a monopoly. I own a home here and I strongly feel the people that live here, pay taxes here, deserve a modern, clean grocery store. The vents in at the yogurt section are caked with dust! I'm sick of people saying we don't have enough people? Enough people to remodel the local store? We deserve better! Half the time the bakery is closed! The Deli closes early too! We have over 1,000 airbnb houses alone who all pay property taxes. Why let one person monopolize a grocery store! Clean it up, remodel it! Ot sure was remodeled outside to put in Tesla charging stations! Work on the inside! I shoukd not have to drive to Oakhurst! I don't want to drive to Oakhurst to shop! I'm sick of people having so low standards for themselves in BASIC amentities of groceries! Again, the workers are very friendly, because mountain people are down to earth! We have a little health food store that is modern! It's too small, and very expensive! I've gotten food poison likely due to low refrigeration of food. Forget about organic or grass fed meats, they are almost never available. If another store was put in, people would instantly flock to it! Mariposa is different now. The new owners have relocated from the Bay Area and we know what it's like to have a clean and updated grocery store! Mariposa can do better! The stars are for the staff! Not the store!
