I wish I had more time here! One thing you will want to note is that you need to call IN ADVANCE to schedule a time to be there. ID necessary. However, a lot of planes to look at. We had THEE BEST tour guide who is a retired pilot. We had only 2 or so hours there but with his stories and info we could have spent an entire day there. A much worthwhile museum if you can plan ahead.

Had a great experience here, many of things to see and learn about. Got there when they first opened, and had Dick as the docent. He walked us around and gave much history on many of the items there. The tour of the plane and even events he was part of. We will definitely be going back again!

Was closed due to Covid but the static display was very impressive outside. Our three year old grandson enjoyed it as well.

A fantastic tour of not only modern (Korea to today) aircraft, but also information missile detection, nuclear warfare, and the use of space in today's military. The docents are extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

Located on Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs, C0, the Peterson Air & Space Museum is an excellent tribute to history of aviation and space in the area. The main museum is in the former civil air terminal of the Colorado Springs airport. It is in an art deco style and includes elements of Colorado Springs' earliest aviation history through WWII, as well as a small gift shop. One of two large hangars houses exhibits space artifacts, a Cheyenne Mountain display, and crew trainer replicating Peacekeeper ICBM launch control capsule. Also in the hangar is a P-47N Thunderbolt. Behind the museum is an outdoor air park with numerous USAF and Canadian aircraft and surface to air missiles used in the defense of North America. The museum docents are knowledgeable and friendly.
