Hotel staff is very nice. They informed us they were remodeling. The hotel definitely needs it.. We stayed when it was over 100 degrees. AC had a hard time keeping up. Rooms were cute and western themed. Our bed was very warn. My side had a large dip. I felt like I was sleeping in a hammock. Did not get much sleep but thankful for the hotel after a 9 hour drive.
Keisha was a God send. Very helpful from getting ice to writing out directions for me. Motel is being remodeled, so glad I was able to get the last room without a reservation. Rooms are nice, it's worth staying there. I do recommend, great pillows. Don't let outside work bother you. Great service and accomadations.
What a fantastic find! My stay at OYO Silver Spur in Burns, Oregon exceeded all expectations, and I can't wait to share why. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted warmly by Kelsha who made check-in a breeze. She was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed (key, directions to the room, WiFi). She even came up to room and helped me get the TV working. The room itself was impeccably clean and surprisingly spacious, equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable one night stay. The bed was cozy, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. What truly sets Silver Spur apart is the exceptional value it offers. With its affordable rates and high standards of cleanliness and comfort, it's clear they prioritize guest satisfaction above all else. I can't recommend Silver Spur enough for anyone looking for a budget-friendly accommodation that doesn't compromise on quality. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, this hotel is sure to exceed your expectations. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip!
8 years ago it was a pleasant stay. It's very run down. Noisy. Dogs howling. People noisy. Upstairs sounds like they are gonna fall through the ceiling. Showerhead has so much Teflon tape and leaks. So unwelcoming. I guess I'll bathe at my next destination!!! I guess there's a reason they have you pay in advance! I really wanted a refund when I arrived!!!! The pictures are absolutely NOT recent!!!
It's been about 7 years since I last stayed here. Motel as getting old and run down, needing a true updating and finally we stayed elsewhere. Saw pics and new owners and thought I'd be better. WRONG. Stayed 4 days to bird watch. Barest bones room. Changed bedding is about all that's changed. They are redoing upstairs rooms. Thankfully we were out of room while working; but last night there, they were moving things and making great deal of noise. Waited for it to stop, 10, 11, midnight came and still loud noises. Came out and said people were trying to sleep and they said they were trying to finish up for the weekend. They got into a shouting match with room next to ours and another room called office number and was told they just needed some earplugs! REALLY? Noise ended about 12:45am. Really disturbing to everyone on our side of motel. Could go into more detail but will just say this: after more than 35 years of staying here on and off, I will never be back. I'm pretty easy in my expectations of places to stay as I only really need a clean room, decent bed, shower, and quiet. My birding trips will no longer include OYO Silver Spur...if you want cheap, these days, that's what you get. Sad, used to be friendly, clean and happy to have you there. I never leave bad reviews but they need to teach customer service and a complete overhaul and new management.
