I had a recent experience with National Car Rental at Denver Airport. Overall, I was quite pleased with the service provided. The check-in process was efficient, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't have to wait long to get my reserved car, and the vehicle was clean and well-maintained. However, I did notice a slight delay when returning the car, as there was a short line at the return area. The rental rates were reasonable, and the options for vehicle selection were diverse. The online reservation system was user-friendly and made the booking process seamless. One aspect that stood out was the availability of the Emerald Aisle service. It allowed me to choose any car from a designated area without having to interact with the staff. This added convenience and saved time. However, communication could have been improved regarding the fueling process. Clearer instructions on where to refuel before returning the car would have been helpful. In conclusion, National Car Rental at Denver provided a positive experience overall, with efficient check-in, a good selection of cars, and reasonable prices. With some minor improvements in communication, it could be an even more exceptional choice for car rental.

I was on bus number 28 getting dropped off at the airport. I was directed which bus to get on at the national car drop off spot. The bus driver was in such a huge hurry that she put safety at risk. She was yelling at me to get on the bus quickly, which I was trying to do. I was having a little trouble because there was nowhere to put my luggage it was full. She took off like a bat out of hell while I was still trying to put my luggage away. I understand being in a hurry, but you got to give people a chance to sit down. I almost fell when I was climbing up the stairs toward the back luckily, another customer helped me. All in all I got to the airport, but safety is more important than speed I believe especially since there were six buses behind her ready to go. I would’ve rather seen her leave without me and I could’ve gotten on the next bus.

After multiple debacles with using Dollar and Thrifty, it truly is refreshing to have customer service that gives you a card with a name and working number. Real people, on the ground at your city or destination. National at the airport in Denver is legendary.

Most of the time, I am able to select a decent car. They have several options and the cars are normally very clean. During my last visit on 31 Jul 2023, the staff member who checked my car out was fantastic. (If I find her card, I will add her review.) She really made my day. Her personality was so infectious, I was out in a good mood. Those people are rare. (It was about 0930 Mountain when I left the National lot.) I have encountered other polite and friendly staff during my many trips to this location but she was the best.

I love national car rental, they have great cars and a good rewards program, (i just made executive). Only issue is availability. When trying to book a car for 1 or 2 days, it is almost impossible. I often have to book for a week or more and then return early. That's the reason for the 4 stars.
