Horrible. Branch Manager Lupe Reyes, customer service agent Taylor. Rude, unresponsive, did not help whatsoever. Wastage of hours. Definitely will be filing a complaint against the manager at this location Lupe Reyes. It’s his responsibility and the lack of professionalism or helpfulness down throughout his staff falls upon him. I’ve filed a complaint and if the Branch Manager see this. Please do better communication and customer service should be forefront and in this interaction you have severely lacked it. You have lost a customer, do better.

I made a reservation to rent a car in Denver and drive back to Texas. After checking to see if I could change my reservation to pick up earlier, I was given the option to also drop off after hours without being charged for an extra day. Because of the long drive, we chose that option, and I turned in the car and keys the next morning before my reservation ended. After waiting for my pending transactions to clear, I noticed I was charged for an extra day. I contacted support and was originally told that this was because cars turned in after hours are not checked in when they are received. That was frustrating because I felt like I was misled when I was allowed to make a reservation where I would turn in the car after hours without being charged then. Fortunately, more than one employee responded to assist me, and I was issued a partial refund for the extra day. The National employees are prompt with communication and assistance. As a company, I think National needs to fix their reservation process so customers understand clearly when they will be charged more.

Tried getting a vehicle through other car rental companies but cars were not available in the area or priced too high. National car rental had plenty of cars and the price was reasonable for a one way rental. Friendly staff at both locations. Next time I will look at this company first for a rental.

The National loc. here is served by Enterprise, so there's no Emerald Club service per se (you can't go straight to your car), but the counter agent was very courteous, personable, and professional, and the vehicle very clean (rare for a rental car nowadays, so extra kudos there). The exit from the parking lot is an automated gate, so there's no wait at a booth as is the case at some other locations.

The National car rental team members in Abilene, TX are phenomenal. They are quick and very attentive to your requests. If you plan to rent a vehicle in Abilene, National is the go to co.pany.
