Went here two days in a row. The first day everything was cooked to absolute perfection. The second day not so much. It's a little hit or miss, but overall a good, reliable restaurant. I'd prob avoid cocktails because both days I was there the box with olives, cherries, etc was left uncovered and wide open for any insect or coughing patron to ruin. I imagine it is never closed. Will remain my go to place in estherville but I wish I knew who the good cook was so I could find out if they are working before placing my order.

Asked a local where a good place to eat was and they recommended here. Got there pretty early for lunch, around 11:00 so it was t busy but quickly picked up. The outside is a bit shabby but the inside is very bell maintained, pretty typical setup for a small town bar/restaurant but brighter and cleaner than some that I’ve been too. Service was good, waitress was attentive. Ordered their prime rib sandwich. I was not given a choice of how I wanted the prime rib prepared and it came medium well… I typically get medium rare. There was only one piece of bread, not two so an open faced sandwich I guess. The flavors were really good and the meal hit the spot! The au jus was fantastic. I ended up cutting my steak and bread into pieces and dipping the steak and bread in the au jus together. The au jus soaked into the bread which made for a very flavorful bite every time. Mashed potato’s were good and the beef gravy was delicious also. Would definitely go back! Saw several items on the menu I would love to try such as their stroganoff and jambalaya.
