Had booked online and explained I was driving over 800 miles with two elderly pups and would around 2-3 am Saturday 6/15/24. Got there exactly at 2 am. No parking space. Parked at loading area. Easy check in. Had to get key card fixed couple times, wouldn’t open door. Unloaded pups and baggage. Was exhausted. Was going to go find parking. Front desk says just park where you are at. It’s okay. It’s the weekend they won’t do street cleaning till Wednesday. Asked if she was “absolutely sure” I won’t get a ticket. She said yes. Went to room and slept till 11 am. Went out to get more stuff from car and find x2 parking tickets. The night shift person gone already. Spoke to Manager Yesenia, explained situation and she says. ‘We would never say that’. She was going to talk to night shift staff and talk to me later. Well she never attempted to talk to me. She wasn’t there when I checked out Sunday morning. Left her my contact info. Called during drive. She’s not there, told to call back 30 minutes later. Well 30 minutes later I’m driving Grapevine with huge fire, could not call back. Yesenia never attempted to call me back. When got to outlets. Called and she had already gone home, but the staff tells me..there’s no reason to call me as “as it was my fault” the night shift person was new. But ultimately it was all my fault. They are not responsible for anything outside their door..like the selling of drugs happening in front of the hotel. Next time in SD will not be staying here. Room was decent. AC worked. But dirty water leaked from the ceiling. When reported to front desk I was given a towel for water to collect on. AC vent looked like had mold. Refrigerator was broken. Bed was comfy. 4 foot no smoking smelled of marijuana. I didn’t expect much from budget hotel. Have stayed at many better Motel6’s. This one I will never stay at again. Homeless people encamped, but was never afraid of them…they were friendlier. Park within walking distance.

Horrible place to stay. Please avoid this one and believe all the low reviews. The neighborhood is bad. Signs up everywhere to lock your car and not responsible for stolen items or damage. The whole place smells bad, moldy and unknown smells. We had to change rooms due to the smell, which was coming out of the vent so the next room was just as bad. We paid for a queen bed but got a full size. The room is tiniest I have ever seen. The TV was in a very odd place. So it was inaccessible. The third floor had some kind of a leak. Don’t know what but the carpet was soaked. I almost fell when I stepped onto the uncarpeted area. I did twist my ankle. They charge $10 for parking which was not listed when we booked the hotel. The parking lot is small and tricky for a full size truck. We couldn’t even get into it. My husband had to back into the lot as he could not make the turn to get into it. They only give you one towel and no amenities. Not even a wash cloth. It’s right next to construction which was happening even at night. Homeless people on the streets in tents and bothering you as you enter and left the hotel. The toilet backed up and wouldn’t flush, the first time we used it. We called the office and were told “We will call you back when we find the plunger”. When they found the plunger they knocked on the door and handed it to us to fix the toilet. Good gravy. The bathroom light made horrible noise. In fact the whole place was noisy. And no internet speed. So forget trying to get online. On the up note, there was hot water, although both sides were hot. No cold water. I can go on but why…. Just don’t go here. You will be happier for it.

The staff is all really nice and helpful. The manager really went out of her way to help us. The rooms always smell clean. And the front lobby employees always put you in good mood with their welcoming friendly personalities. Plus there is no deposit which is great because we have a dog that's always with us.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I tried to check in early and was told I couldn’t until three which I understood. It was not until I came back to check in that I was told there was limited parking (15 spots, give or take), and it was first come, first serve. Even though it says parking was available when I booked, there was no mention of first come, first serve, except when I arrived. My mom and I had to walk for blocks in an unsafe area after parking on the street next to homeless encampments at midnight. The room was dirty, with the tub stained and not thoroughly cleaned. Flies/gnats came out of the air vents and flew around the room all night. I also got bit while staying here. Considering all this, I was not offered a refund for my stay, even a partial one, even though I am not staying the second night. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Creepy.. lots of homeless in front of hotel, clientele is also weird.. parking is 10$ a day .. rooms especially floors smell extremely moldy but also chemical at the same time.. btw no AC! pricey for what it is! Shower doesn’t have a curtain so the whole bathroom is wet after a shower, toilet seat is loose, almost breaks when you sit on it. Duvet is thin and old, bed uncomfortable, room worn out and smells as already said. No fridge whatsoever, stains on the walls, mattress keeps moving.. wouldn’t stay here again you can find better for the same price
