This car wash on Sparks Ave. is a rip-off. The guy who takes your cash ripped me off. He has a wad of cash. I gave him a 20 - only 20's in my wallet from just hitting the ATM, and he has a slight of hand move where he puts the 20 in the wad of cash and flips out a 10 with his bottom fingers. When you ask for your 10 in change, he says you gave him a 10 that he is now holding and you are ripped-off ten dollars. This happened with the attendant at about noon on Fri., Sept. 27. I was watching his hand as he did it. I keep an eye out for these things as they seem to happen all too often. Last year I was using their vacuum cleaners and what I think was the owner thought I had too much trash from my car for his trash can as I cleaned out my car and he told me to leave in a rude manner. His workers look very questionable by appearance. Use the car wash at the airport at the gas station as you leave the airport for town on the right. Costs less too. Have been spending summers on Nantucket for 30 years and will never use the gas station/car wash on Sparks again. For gas, go across the street where you can also hit up Cumberland Farms. For a car wash, go to the airport.
