The main reason we choose this restaurant was the good reviews and honestly, it's proximity to the hotel...it was righy there. The service was great. Quick and helpful, just the right amounts of being there and not being there. The food. The salmon was done really well. Salmon can be dry but they know how to do salmon here. The chicken was OK. The sauce was excellent but the meat was dry. You needed thr sauce to get that chicken down. The atmosphere was...colourful. We were right beside the pool tables and the other patrons looked like they spent a lot of time in bars. A solid 4 stars.

Steak was rare not Med-rare. Not bad but not what was ordered. Hamburger ordered with bacon and cheese didn't have the bacon or cheese (paid extra for them,) as well as being burnt. The Salmon salad had a small piece of chicken breast in it. The children's chicken strips ($10) had 2 tiny strips and soggy fries. We were willing to spend more for the convenience of being in the hotel we stayed in. It wasn't worth it. Go across the street to Burger King. At least when Burger King disappoints you it was kind of expected. The host was good and that's the only positive thing.

I haven't reviewed in a while, and my visit last night to Minervas was just what I needed to get excited about local dining again. Normally, I hesitate when I see a restaurant located in a hotel. This was totally unjustified as it was one of the best experiences I've had in the region. Artichoke dip- perfectly chunky, walleye-criped to perfection, whiskey sirloin- beat all the other steakhouses in the area. Bread pudding- exceptionally soggy. We went to watch NCAA basketball and sat at the bar. The bartender was incredibly hospitable, and thankfully, the full menu was available. The tap selection is quite diverse as well. Will be going back asap

Awesome place! I definitely was skeptical since it was attached to a hotel, but the place was nice. The salad bar was awesome. I got the Potato Walleye. It was perfectly flavored and flaky, but it had some bones. The Butterscotch Marshmallow Bread Pudding was good.

Little dated, but the food is way worth the price, great service, steaks are great and not over priced. Drinks were outstanding.
