What people are saying
The rudest customer service in the history of customer service. I went in on my lunch break to purchase my Anatomy and Physiology lab book. I saw two on the horribly organized shelf. One was open with a Pearson code in the front and the other was sealed with no visible code. I brought both up to the register to ask if all of them had codes because that’s what is required for the course. Once I brought them up and asked, the middle aged, blonde woman wearing glasses with her hair up asked briskly “where did you get this?” I asked, “what do you mean, I got it from the shelf.” After her saying “no” and cutting me off each time I declared I brought it from the shelf, she left mid conversation and said she’d need to notify the manager. I said “I don’t know what you are implying, but I’m trying to purchase my lab materials. Eventually, her co-worker assisted me in hushed tones and I made it clear I did not appreciate the implication and the rudeness. I mean, let’s use our brains for a second. If I stole the code, why would I be bringing it up to the register and paying full price? I truly advise management have a discussion with this individual.
Great store books are expensive, but you get EXACTLY! What is needed for class no mistakes staff is great love this book store. Who ever leaves a bad review has no common sense and if they had an issue it's their fault if they had a bad experience. Every time I go I have a great experience yes they are expensive that's no lie, but the staff has been very respectful and have resolved any issues I have had in regards to my course materials. Maybe if you would not be so self centered, and stop blaming people for your mistakes you would realize hey maybe your the problem you have to 🤔 your head isn't only for hair lol.
Horrible customer service. No one ever answers the phone or gets back to you at a reasonable time. I’m giving 2 stars only because of the nice cashier.
It's a dated and kind of depressing store but the store manager, Monica, is very sweet and will try her very best to help you with any of your problems. The rest of the employees lack any customer service personality for the most part. But it's a place on campus where you can pick up a quick snack or drink. They also sell books, novels, art supplies, electronics, candy, office supplies, and MDC branded merchandise.
Most of the products offered are at a priced at a premium but I guess that is to be expected. To me the biggest offense that drives me into a rage if I dwell on it is that they make you put your backpack and large purses into a community locker in the front of the store with no supervision. I honestly would never buy anything to support this store except for the fact that you have absolutely no choice for some of the MDC custom publications. The employees work for peanuts apparently but do a fantastic job in regardless, they're helpful and the store is keep very well. The store is still infamously understaffed on the opening weeks of any semester.
