Great location with amazing staff from cleaning, bellhops to shuttle drivers, really no complaints there and an absolute delight. The Marriott shares a gym with the adjacent Courtyard and the same shuttle service, which runs every 15 minutes. Right across the Miami Airport the location can't be beat. The place remains surprisingly quiet even with the added highway traffic nearby. The room wasn't too big and the bathroom was barely enough to move around, mine had the tub peeling off already, room 803. I requested a nightly upgrade since I am a Platinum member and it was not honored, I don't think it was full enough not to warrant the upgrade. I requested a late checkout and it was granted. Great M Club or Lounge with plenty of snacks, water and sodas. The bar looks great and was full until closing. They have a Starbucks on site that serves pretty late if you need it before bed and a MIA pantry with many goodies to purchase. Overall a great Marriott in need of a tuneup before it becomes outdated.
Be aware the waiter may overcharge you. It happened to me when using AA vouchers and paying for the difference. The math was so simple I do not think it was an honest mistake. On the other hand I must admit his service was excellent. This hotel is clean and people are very polite.
We were given vouchers by our airline after missing our connecting flight due to weather. The shuttle was quick and short, and the driver courteous. There are 3 Marriotts on one property, so we didn't have to ride all over the city before arriving at our hotel. The check-in process was swift with gracious front desk attendants. The room was very CLEAN and very nicely decorated and laid out, with plenty of room. Fridge but no microwave. It was quiet. It truly was a peaceful respite for a quick night's sleep after a grueling 5 hours standing in customs, airline rescheduling, and food lines until midnight at MIA. Breakfast buffet was rather expensive and would have taken too much time, we thought, so skipped it and picked up breakfast at the airport. Return shuttle to the airport was fast and easy.
I’d just like to start off by saying out of staying at multiple Marriott hotels around the world. 15 countries to be exact. This was the first time I experienced extremely poor service. Jasmine was who was “helping” me, was too lazy to perform a task and made me do it myself. Fine. Came back and had to wait again in line (keep in mind I never had to do that myself, ever) and after finishing everything, no explanation of anything, no eye contact, just a lack of care overall. This is embarrassing to Marriott because I know the level of service that Marriott provides and this is not it. The room was clean and very large. Outside of the level of service, everything else checked out like a normal Marriott. Hopefully they get their service level back to expectations.
The good: 15 minute walk to endless variety of restaurants. Very nice room with a view to the east and morning sunrise. Terrific pool and patio area and above average gym. Well stocked convenience shop. The lousy: annoying $5 dollar fee for a $8 dollar Amazon delivery. Yes, that's a 62% fee!! Especially annoying since I called the front desk beforehand to ask if I could receive an Amazon delivery and they replied "Absolutely! Lots of guests do, every day!". They just happened to leave out the "and the hotel will charge $5.00 dollars per item as a convenience fee"...🤨
