Maynard Fine Arts Theatre

A classic spot. Since the first time I saw a movie here I have not been back to the big theatre chains. Not only can I support a local business, I can get that classic movie going experience with fresh popcorn and choose your own seating. The sound is loud and clear and the screens are bright in all theaters. Typically the big budget releases are given the largest theater and screen. The other two screens are small, but they perfectly fine for watching a movie.
The seats were comfortable, and the view was good. I saw the latest Star Wars movie here. I had Coke Classic, the kind in the bottle and a yummy box of popcorn. It's ridiculously affordable. The theater when underwent a complete restoration. If you like classic style, an affordable date night option, and something kitsch - this is your place. They show classic movies and current films. The price is affordable, and I look forward to going back.
The Fine Arts Theatre was the "purrfect" venue for Carmah Cat Rescue's Feline Film Festival. The building is a retro delight! It is always a treat to visit buildings of a bygone era. There was plenty of parking and the location was easy to find.
Haven't been in a long time (last time was in different ownership) clean and friendly. The prices went up a little which is fine.
Great movie theater. Good prices, friendly staff, and they have beer/wine/cider. Much better than the large chains.
