LeTara Grill & Bar
What people are saying
I was pleasantly surprised by LeTara Bar and Grill in Haslet, Texas. Nestled in a residential area, this restaurant offers a quality and experience that could easily belong in a bustling downtown. We arrived about an hour before closing and found the place pleasantly quiet, allowing us to capture some great photos of the beautifully designed location. Our meal began with the smoked trout appetizer, which was delicious, though it arrived after our main courses—the brisket tacos and roasted half hen. This was the one downside of our visit. Additionally, the ratio of smoked trout dip to bread was a bit off; a couple more spoonfuls of the dip would have been perfect. Everything we tasted was absolutely amazing. I had no idea what my taste buds were in for. We also tried the vanilla chai tea, and upon requesting a bit more vanilla, it turned out just right. Our waiter, Tony, was fantastic—always smiling, helpful, and attentive, allowing us to make our own choices without pushing us toward specific menu items. LeTara boasts an impressive patio and a super long bar, practically offering two distinct experiences in one venue: a restaurant side and a bar side, each with its own unique aesthetic. The interesting wood feature holding the firewood adds a cozy touch. Though we didn't get to enjoy the patio this time, its great size promises a delightful outdoor dining experience. Despite its somewhat remote location, LeTara Bar and Grill is definitely worth a visit. I will be returning for sure.
Super cute family-owned business! We ordered the brisket tacos 🌮 and reuben sandwich with brussels. Everything tasted pretty good. The brussels are covered in some sort of sauce which I could have done without and the tacos were tiny. There was only one person working the entire restaurant and she was the best part of our experience!🥂 She was very kind, attentive and delivered very fast service!! We will definitely be back to try other things from the menu soon.
Driven by here so many times. Finally decided to take the plunge. When entering the place, you get a whiff of that sweet, sweet smoked wood smell. Love anyplace that still cooks with real wood. The staff were all really friendly. Our server was on it. He was funny, helpful and knowledgeable. When I first read the menu it didn't knock my socks off, but the food is well prepared and honestly very good. The loaded Mac and cheese was a treat. They actually cook the French dip meat to your liking! The vibe is chill. Like an elegant mom and pop place. Will return. Oh! And the have a patio when it's cooler outside and a brunch!
First time at LeTara, service was excellent, French Dip is in the top 3 I've had and I really enjoyed the skin on hand cut fries. Wife had the fish tacos which was as a build your own plate style with a large portion of grilled fish, coleslaw rice and beans. We started with the Nachos and ended with a Carmel Maccaito coffee to go, both very good. Yes the place is a little pricey for a small town restaurant but sitting on the bay in any major costal town this quality restaurant would be what it is, a little gem. We will be back for a steak or sea food evening meal very soon.
The atmosphere was excellent and welcoming! The service staff were kind and quick to accommodate. I'm not sure if it was just the night that we dined, but the restaurant was freezing- so if you are sensitive to colder temps, bring a jacket. We had the roasted chicken- it was beautifully seasoned and tasted great.. but was slightly overcooked and the white meat was a little dry; otherwise, great dish!
