Le Macaron French Pastries Los Angeles
What people are saying
I have never tried a macaron before I came here so I really didn’t know what to expect! My favorite one was the blue one which I thing was some type of berry! I would definitely recommend it, though I’m not going to lie the macaroons where well a little dry to be completely honestly but i don’t know if they are meant to be like that since it’s my first time going .
We walked into the strip ‘cause it looked so cute for some pictures and found this place. The owner was super sweet and gave us a sample of the Pistachio macaron. It was PERFECT! Not overly sweet but the right amount of pistachio flavor, the color vibrant, and so tasty I was convinced to try some others. I got the pistachio one again (testament to how yummy it was), red velvet, and Colombian coffee. I was worried that the coffee would be overwhelming but it was like tasting that first sip of a hot latte in the morning (it's a must). The red velvet macaron was also delicious, sweeter than the other two so one of these was enough for me. The shop itself was super chic, clean, and they had a great selection of macarons and drinks. I’ve purchased macarons on most of the trips I’ve taken and these were EXCELLENT, highly recommend dropping by to taste and enjoy as you walk through DTLA.
The Macarons were the best I’ve ever tasted. Each one was perfection. The prefect smooth crisp top, the characteristic bubbly collar and flavors that delight. I can’t pick a favorite but I did manage to sample four flavors by begging bites from my friend in exchange for bites of my own... his favorite was Basil and White chocolate, mine was Raspberry or Mango but all were delicious! Nothing says delicious like almost gone. I saved this morsel till just now. Rose- I suppose I have given myself roses for Valentine’s Day.
Visiting from out of town, we always try and find French bakeries in new cities we go to. This shop sells excellent macarons - some of the best we've had! My fiance said she was having a religious experience eating them they were so good. There were also ice cream macarons which I've never seen before, we're looking forward to trying them tomorrow when we visit Le Macaron again. The owner is very nice, we spoke with her for a bit about the shop and it's only been there for a few months. I'm happy to get the word out though - don't miss this gem in downtown LA!
The best most amazing experience ever! They were the nicest and most genuine people and workers I have ever met and I cannot stress it enough that If you are in the downtown area I URGE YOU go visit them! The best employees and wonderful people I have ever met!!! And not to mention their macarons are to DIE FOR!!! I search everywhere for perfect macarons and I have found the spot!!! Please do me a favor and get these macarons! The service was amazing! And if that wasn't enough for you to go trust me you'll get authentic if not more macarons from here! Who would've known you can find authentic French pastries here in the heart of downtown !
