Knicker Biker
What people are saying
All I wanted was an axle bolt. Tim was extremely friendly, extremely helpful, and took the time necessary to make sure I left with the correct part at a great price ($5). He even gave me a a small wrench and a couple extra jam nuts to make sure I reinstalled the axle correctly. Thank you Tim.
Went to buy a bike last June. I had these fellas build me a BMX bike I stead. Not only were they helpful while picking out parts for this bike but they really knew their stuff about each part. They were able to help me choose better quality parts and honestly I would say that this is by far the best bike I e ever owned. The balance is perfect, the ride is smooth, And is most definitely the lightest bike I've ever owned. Thanks guys!!!
I have done business with Knicker Biker for a year or so, in that time I have always been treated with courtesy and respect. While waiting my turn for service I have noted consistent service and courtesy to the customers before me. Showing up on a busy Saturday with the expectation of instant repair service in any LBS does not seem reasonable to me. If I am in that much of a jam over a simple repair that will only take 10 minutes then I will do it myself.
from 2019 I brought in my road bike for a tune up, the brake cables were stretching and it was not shifting well. The good: Speedy service. They said 7-10 days for them to get it done. They had it back in 48 hours! the brakes were adjusted well. Down side: the shifters were not adjusted right, not even close! the front derailleur was worse than when I brought it in. took it back to the shop and it took two more visits to get it even close to correct. I could have done this well on my own in stead of wasting $55 on what I would expect to be a expert tune up. Especially from the local dealer of the bike I bought there 2 years ago. I would hope that the new owners that bought the shop from JR's estate get some training, or hire someone that is much more experienced as a mechanic.
I went in to simply have a tire put on a rim. It was a smaller rim and I lack the necessary tools to do the easy job. All I got was excuses and a genuine lack of want to help. I went to a tire store where they were more than happy to help. I've gone to Knicker for decades and I'll never go back.
